  • Patent number: 10370935
Abstract: A packer system includes a gauge ring, an expanding ring arranged adjacent to the gauge ring, a back-up ring, a packer element arranged adjacent to the back-up ring, and a support ring arranged between the back-up ring and the expanding ring. The support ring promotes radial outward expansion of the expanding ring.

  • Patent number: 8061759
Abstract: An actuation mechanism for a tarping system includes a double coil spring mountable on a pivot shaft of the mechanism. A bushing is mounted on the pivot shaft and within the double coil spring. The bushing includes an eccentric external periphery that limits the deflection of the spring, particularly at the transition points between the center portion and each of the coil portions of the spring. As the spring winds or coils, the coil portions progressively contact the eccentric periphery of the bushing to not only limit further movement of the coil portions, but also to provide support for those portions under load.

  • Publication number: 20050189121
Abstract: A packer device includes a central packer mandrel and a radially surrounding expansion mandrel. At least one slip mandrel carrying wickers surrounds the expansion mandrel and is secured in place upon the expansion mandrel by an annular retaining ring. The slip mandrel is secured to the retaining ring by screw connectors that pass through the slip mandrel and into retainer segments. The retaining ring is clamped between the slip mandrel and segments. Additionally, the packer device carries a fluid seal that is made up of a thermoplastic material with elastomeric energizing elements.

  • Patent number: 4097967
Abstract: This invention is a snap lock structure used with paper or plastic bag members to close an open end in a sealed, airtight manner. The snap lock structure includes an upper clamp member integral through a connector section with a lower clamp member. The upper and lower clamp members are similar, each having a main body and outer clamp sections. The upper clamp member has an outer lock head portion which engages in a locked condition a lock receiver portion of the lower clamp member. The connector section has a shield member to maintain the bag members in proper position for clamping.
