The method includes forming relationships among users of a media administration system, initiating a time-limited campaign for promoting the distribution of one or more related media items, obtaining information regarding on-line media purchases of the one or more related media items by the users of the media distribution system, and allocating points for the media purchases across related users based on the relationships among the users.
