  • Publication number: 20210227843
Abstract: A tempering composition for tempering grain in a tempering step and controlling pathogens susceptible to be present in and/or on said grain during the tempering step of the grain, said tempering step being eventually carried out before subjecting the tempered grain to a milling step; wherein said tempering composition comprises tempering-water and an oxidizing composition comprising at least one oxidizing agent and/or a precursor thereof, and eventually at least one an agriculturally acceptable excipient and/or at least one additive; and wherein the at least one oxidizing agent represents from 0.01 to 50% by weight of the oxidizing composition. A use and a method for tempering grain and controlling pathogens susceptible to be present on grain. An oxidizing composition for preparing the tempering composition. A use of the tempering composition for sanitizing mill systems. A method for sanitizing mill systems.

  • Patent number: 10292402
Abstract: Edible seeds are sanitized with a composition comprising water, a biocidal agent and a solvent. The composition is applied to the seeds and the seeds are later dried without first rinsing the seeds. The application rate may be 15% by weight of the seeds or less. The solvent may be a water-miscible alcohol such as ethanol or propylene glycol. When sanitizing mucilaginous seeds, the composition comprises one or more alcohols in an amount effective to inhibit the release of mucilage. The composition is initially applied as a mist to mucilaginous seeds. The biocidal agent may be an oxidizer such as peracetic acid. A treatment system includes an atomizing sprayer and a dryer, for example a fixed bed forced-air dryer.

  • Patent number: 10136642
Abstract: A composition of peracetic acid and at least one organic fungicide, a method and a use involving said composition are described. The composition is for the control and/or treatment of diseases associated with the presence of pathogens, more particularly in and on the tissues of a growing plant. The composition may be a powdered composition comprising the organic fungicide(s) and a peracetic acid precursor system, which once admixed with water, may be applied to the tissues of the plant to be treated. Preferably, the peracetic acid precursor system may comprise hydrogen peroxide or a hydrogen peroxide precursor and an acetylating agent. Also described is a kit for preparing an aqueous solution of the described composition, for use in controlling pathogens on a plant tissue of a growing plant.

  • Publication number: 20160295860
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition of water-soluble ingredients (CWSI) which when solubilized in water (W) and either in the presence of a wetting agent and/or in the presence of at least one agriculturally acceptable solvent, forms a synergistic composition useful for the control of pathogens and/or the prevention of diseases associated with the presence of said pathogens in and/or on seeds. Said composition of water-soluble ingredients (CWSI) comprises at least one oxidizer in liquid form or solid form, or a precursor thereof in liquid or solid form, said at least one agriculturally acceptable solvent is soluble in water (W); the water-soluble ingredients (CWSI) is dissolved in the water (W), in a weight ratio (CWSI)/(W) ranging from 1:100 to 1:4, and when present, said at least one agriculturally acceptable solvent represents from 2% by volume to 70% by volume of the total volume of the synergistic composition to be formed.

Abstract: A stabilized oxidizer composition, and method and use for improving disinfection, sanitation and/or disease control, and kit for preparing said composition. A stabilized oxidizer composition and a method for improving the stability and/or efficiency of said oxidizer composition. A powdered composition for the preparation of such stabilized and/or more efficient oxidizer composition. A stabilized and/or more efficient oxidizer composition, and method for improving the stability and pesticidal activity of the oxidant when mixed with other pesticides. Uses and methods involving said stabilized and/or more efficient oxidizer composition, and a kit for the preparation of a stabilized and/or more efficient oxidizer composition, advantageously in order to obtain a more efficient control of pathogens in and on any kind of surfaces in general, preferably on surfaces of the tissues of a growing plant. Preferably, the oxidizer mentioned hereinabove may be peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, or a precursor thereof.
