  • Patent number: 11580358
Abstract: The present disclosure describes improvements in optimization systems. During an optimization loop, an advanced objective function is used to determine an objective value, a specification metric, and a rule coverage metric for a particular solution. The specification metric characterizes compliance of the solution with certain formal specifications. The rule coverage metric characterizes the degree to which all rules (or a particular rule) are tested during testing of the system. The objective value and metrics may influence future operation of the optimization loop.

  • Patent number: 11551100
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method for improving the way computing devices execute genetic algorithms. A fuzzy logic controller takes various properties of the genetic algorithm (such as the diversity of the population, the performance history of the algorithm in terms of time-efficiency and/or effectiveness at improving the best fitness function results, and available computing resources) to dynamically manage the parameters of the genetic algorithm. In some embodiments, the fuzzy inference system that provides parameters to the genetic algorithm is itself controlled by another fuzzy inference system.

  • Patent number: 10366817
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for cooling an electronic device assembly having a heat producing are described. An electronic device assembly includes a heat dissipation member and a dielectric two-phase heat transfer device. The dielectric heat transfer device has an evaporator region thermally attached to a hot region of the heat producing component and a condenser region thermally attached to the heat dissipation member. The dielectric two-phase heat transfer device is fabricated from a dielectric material.

  • Patent number: 7001574
Abstract: A mixture of natural gas and air is converted to a C5–C19 diesel fuel-grade liquid hydrocarbon. The natural gas and air mixture is supplied to the input of a catalytic partial oxidation reactor. The carbon-containing gas output of the catalytic partial oxidation reactor is connected as an input to a first Fischer-Tropsch reactor, to thereby form a first diesel fuel grade C5–C19 liquid hydrocarbon output. A carbon-containing gas output of the first Fischer-Tropsch reactor is connected to the input of a second Fischer-Tropsch reactor, to thereby form a second diesel fuel grade C5–C19 liquid hydrocarbon output. The catalytic partial oxidation reactor contains a platinum group catalyst, a promoted platinum group catalyst, a rhodium catalyst, or a platinum promoted rhodium catalyst. Each of the Fischer-Tropsch reactors contain a catalyst that is made up of from about 3 to about 60 parts-by-weight cobalt and from about 0.
