Abstract: A thin client server 32 is adapted for communicating over a network with a thin client 31 configurable for operating with a terminal server 33. The thin client server comprises a database 321 for storing and retrieving thin client MAC addresses, user or group names and associated thin client configuration settings. The thin client server is arranged such that, on booting the thin client, configuration settings storable in the database relating to the said thin client are retrievable over the network by the thin client for use in operation with the terminal server.
