Patent number: 9294582Abstract: Techniques are provided for the caching of content prior to the content being requested. A request for desired content may be received from a client application at a caching server. The request may also indicate additional content related to the desired content that may be subsequently requested by the client application. The indicated additional content (and the desired content, if not already cached) is retrieved from an origin server. The desired content is transmitted to the client application at the user device, and the additional content is cached at the caching server. Subsequently, a second request may be received from the client application that includes a request for the additional content. The additional content, which is now cached at the caching server, is served to the client application by the caching server in response to the second request (rather than being retrieved from the origin server).Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2011Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Jonathan Roshan Tuliani, Nicholas Leonard Holt, Cheng Huang

Patent number: 9149757Abstract: A system for increasing the power and efficiency of engines by increasing the oxygen content in the intake manifold supply using a zeolite filtration system. This system converts the air to a higher oxygen content as it flows to the intake manifold in an engine. The practical idea of this is to increase the power of the engine without increasing displacement, while almost completely diminish NOx emissions as well as reducing fuel consumption. In this invention there are three main components: the zeolite filtration oxygen enrichment system, a system for desorbing nitrogen within the filter when the engine is off or idle, and a wastegate for controlling oxygen enrichment or no oxygen enrichment.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2013Date of Patent: October 6, 2015Assignee: Oddomotive, Inc.Inventor: Nicholas Leonard Oddo

Publication number: 20140202335Abstract: A system for increasing the power of cars by increasing the oxygen content in the intake manifold supply using a zeolite filtration system. This system does not rely on the conventional method of injecting pure oxygen from a tank or using hydrolysis from water. This actually converts the air to a higher oxygen content as it flows to the intake manifold in a car. The practical idea of this is to increase the power of the engine without increasing displacement or to have the engine downsized with less displacement while still having the same power. It also has the application in cars or trucks to almost completely diminish NOx emissions. This is especially useful in tractor trailers because then you can forgo expensive aftertreatment systems to reduce NOx, which sometimes cost more than the engine itself, greatly reducing the cost of a tractor trailer and also doing the things mentioned above.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2013Publication date: July 24, 2014Inventor: Nicholas Leonard Oddo

Publication number: 20140117182Abstract: A simultaneously foldable multi-screen monitor support having separate support arms connected to separate posts extending from a base. The posts are mounted on end sections of the base and are pivotable about a center section. When one post is moved between a first position and a second position, the other post simultaneously moves between a third position and a fourth position. The movement of one post moves the other post and monitors that are supported on the posts are moved in the same manner from a folded position to an operating position or vice versa.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2013Publication date: May 1, 2014Applicant: Waterloo Furniture Components LimitedInventor: Nicholas Leonard Blackburn

Patent number: 8326980Abstract: A top level domain name system (DNS) server receives a DNS query from a local DNS resolver, the DNS query requesting a network address corresponding to a domain name. The top level DNS server reflects the local DNS resolver to a reflector DNS server. The reflector DNS server reflects the local DNS resolver to a collector DNS server, which in turn returns the network address to the local DNS resolver. The reflector DNS server and collector DNS server are both in the same data center, and one or more network performance measurements for communications between the local DNS resolver and the data center are determined based on the communications between the local DNS resolver and both the reflector DNS server and the collector DNS server.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2010Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Cheng Huang, Nicholas Leonard Holt, Albert G.
