  • Publication number: 20240115321
Abstract: A system for assessing spinal implants includes at least one processor, and a memory storing instructions for execution by the at least one processor that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to receive first image data of a spinal column of a patient, determine, based on the first image data, a property of first bony anatomy in at least a first portion of the spinal column, determine, based on the property of the first bony anatomy, an initial screw trajectory for inserting a screw into the spinal column, virtually insert the screw along the initial screw trajectory using the first image data to generate modified first image data, perform an initial loading simulation for the virtually inserted screw using the modified first image data, and determine, based on the initial loading simulation, a suitability of the initial screw trajectory for implanting the screw into the spinal column.

  • Patent number: 11298162
Abstract: A load sensing assembly for a spinal implant includes a set screw having a central opening that extends from a first end of the set screw toward a second end of the set screw. The second end of the set screw is configured to engage with an anchoring member. The load sensing assembly includes an antenna, an integrated circuit in communication with the antenna, where the integrated circuit is positioned within the central opening of the set screw, and a strain gauge in connection with the integrated circuit. The strain gauge is located within the central opening of the set screw in proximity to the second end of the set screw.

  • Patent number: 11278238
Abstract: A system for assessing a spinal disorder includes a wearable electronic device having one or more sensors and an assessment system. The wearable electronic device is configured to be positioned on a portion of a lower back of a wearer, and the one or more sensors are configured to obtain patient data associated with the wearer. The system receives patient data from the one or more sensors, where the patient data includes movement data associated with movement of the lower back of the wearer, classifies the movement data into an initial grouping, further classifies the at least a portion of the movement data into one of the plurality of activity categories, generate a score corresponding to the at least a portion of the movement data based on the activity category to which the movement data is classified, and cause the score to be displayed via a client electronic device.

  • Patent number: 11158405
Abstract: A system of generating a pre-operative assessment of a patient includes an assessment system configured to communicate with client electronic devices. The system receives patient information pertaining to a patient, uses the patient information to access one or more medical images associated with the patient, performs one or more image processing techniques on the one or more medical images to identify measurements pertaining to an internal bodily structure of the patient, identifies one or more implant components for the patient, determines whether the one or more implant components are currently stocked, in response to determining that the one or more implant components are not currently stocked, automatically generates and placing an order for the one or more implant components that are not stocked, generates a pre-operative assessment for the patient, and causes the assessment to be displayed on a display device of a client electronic device.
