  • Patent number: 10643192
Abstract: A method, apparatus, computer-readable medium, and/or system may comprise a server having a first processor, a database, and first memory storing computer-executable instructions. The system may comprise a self-service device having a second processor, a plurality of sensors configured to capture images, and second memory storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the second processor, cause the self-service device to detect a start of user activity at the self-service device. In response to detecting the start of the user activity at the self-service device, the self-service device may capture, by one or more of the plurality of sensors, a plurality of images of the user activity at the self-service device. The self-service device may detect an end of the user activity at the self-service device. In response to detecting the end of the user activity at the self-service device, the self-service device may generate data indicative of the user activity at the self-service device.

  • Publication number: 20170061423
Abstract: The present disclosure describes using wearable to control user account operation. Embodiments herein disclosed receive an operation request from a wearable device of a user to control the operation of at least one account of the user using the wearable device; wherein the operation includes turning on or off the account, placing a limit on a payment for a transaction, and/or the like; wherein the wearable device has one or more sensors configured to gather user data including physiological or movement data, or a combination of both. Embodiments herein disclosed determine whether or not the user is in possession of the wearable device, based on the user data; and grant the operation request to control the operation of the at least one account, based at least partially on the determination of that the user is in possession of the wearable device.

  • Publication number: 20170061424
Abstract: The present disclosure describes using wearable presence to maintain account authentication. Embodiments herein disclosed receive an authentication request from a wearable device of a user to initiate a transaction using the wearable device; wherein the wearable device includes one or more sensors configured to gather user data including physiological or movement data, or a combination of both; wherein the authentication request includes a transaction type, a transaction amount, and at least one account to be used via the wearable device for the transaction. Embodiments determine if the user is in possession of the wearable device, based on the user data; and, if so, authenticate the at least one account. Embodiments continuously monitor user data from the wearable device to determine if the user remains in possession of the wearable device; and, if so, maintain authentication to the account, thereby allowing the user to conduct one or more transactions upon authentication.

  • Patent number: 9514463
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and computer program products provide for monitoring an area within or proximate to a place of business for digital signatures of mobile communication devices, such as cellular devices or wearable communication devices. The captured digital signatures are then matched to digital signatures associated with existing customers of the business to determine the presence of the existing customer within or proximate to the place of business. Once the presence of the existing customer within or proximate to the business is known, the business can access other relevant information, such as customer profile information, prior transaction/interaction information or the like to enhance the customer's current interaction with the business. Moreover, once the presence of the existing customer is known, location determining mechanisms may implemented to track the location of the known customer within or proximate to the place of business for the purpose of positively identifying the known customer.
