Abstract: A floor treatment machine has a base portion with two or more rotatable generally disc-shaped floor-facing work heads arranged side-by-side on the floor and each having a generally vertical axis of rotation, the machine having drive means for rotatably driving the work heads in counter-rotation with respect to one another, and wherein the rotational axes of both work heads are tilted transversely from their respective verticals so that the axes are convergent or divergent in opposite transverse directions thereby causing the work heads to adopt dihedral or dihedral configurations when viewed from a front of the machine, which configurations in use provide propulsion of the machine over the floor surface, wherein the respective work head axes are both tilted backwards away from the vertical so that both work heads are tilted-up at front end regions thereof and depressed at rear end regions thereof with respect to the floor surface.

Abstract: A scrubber-drier machine has a base portion with one or more floor-facing work heads for scrubbing a floor surface along a working direction, a squeegee collector disposed on the floor to trail behind the work head(s), the squeegee collector in fluid communication with a suction device, and a collection tank for liquid drawn from the suction collector by the suction device, wherein the squeegee collector has a transverse orientation and length sufficient to provide a collection path which spans the cleaning path provided by the work heads, and the squeegee collector is attached to the base portion by a mounting which permits limited transverse displacement of the squeegee connector either left or right away from a central home position. The mounting is preferably provided with resilient biasing means which acts to limit displacement and return the squeegee connector towards the home position after displacement.

Abstract: A floor treatment machine has a handle portion movably connected to a base portion. The base portion is provided with at least one floor treatment workhead, a cleaning fluid outlet, and a suction collector assembly having an inlet. The inlet is connected to a waste fluid conduit, and the suction collector assembly is arranged to selectively suction and collect waste fluid in use. A spillage prevention attachment is configured for attachment to the waste fluid conduit such that the spillage prevention attachment positions and orients a portion of the waste fluid conduit to collect and substantially retain waste fluid on removal of suction from the suction collector assembly.

Abstract: A floor cleaning machine has one or more work heads, one or more motors for driving one or more work heads via a transmission unit for each work head, wherein each transmission unit has a drive shaft with a co-axial chuck for releasably engaging with the associated work head to rotate the work head. The machine has a liquid reservoir, and at least one liquid conduit extending from the reservoir towards a transmission unit of one of the work heads. The drive shaft has a co-axially extending through-bore receiving a liquid feed tube, the feed tube providing a liquid path for treatment liquid through the transmission unit and through the work head, the feed tube having an upper region for receiving liquid from the conduit and a lower region which feeds through the work head to serve as an outlet for delivering liquid to the underside of the work head.

Abstract: A floor scrubber drier includes a base portion with a treatment workhead, a cleaning fluid outlet located such that cleaning fluid is entrained in the treatment workhead during operation, and a waste fluid collector inlet locatable proximate the treatment workhead to collect waste fluid therefrom. The scrubber has a handle movably connected to the base portion to guide movement of the base portion. The scrubber has a tank module with a clean fluid reservoir in fluid communication with the cleaning fluid outlet to feed clean fluid thereto, and a waste fluid collection tank in fluid communication with the fluid collector inlet to receive waste fluid therefrom, wherein the tank module is attachable to the handle such that the clean fluid reservoir and the waste fluid collection tank are simultaneously removable and attachable to the handle.
