Publication number: 20240125571Abstract: Systems for universally locking a trigger of a firearm are provided that require authentication to transition the firearm to an unlocked state. In general, examples of the systems for universally locking a trigger of a firearm described herein are located in an interchangeable grip portion of the firearm or mounted to an accessory rail of the firearm. Embodiments of the system generally include trigger interference or blocking members to prevent actuation of the trigger until the authentication system has authorized the user to fire the firearm. Once the system is authenticated, embodiments of the system remain in an unlocked state while the user is grasping the firearm. When the user removes their hand from the firearm, embodiments of the trigger locking system automatically returns to a locked state, reducing or eliminating unauthorized use of the firearm.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: Justin GANT, Nicholas SCHMIDT

Publication number: 20240098941Abstract: An example air barrier system for a data center within a building is disclosed. The example air barrier system includes a pliable barrier material to partition an area above a top of row of computer cabinets in the data center and below an overhead surface of the building. The pliable barrier material is to reduce mixing of air between first and second aisles on opposites sides of the row of computer cabinets. The example air barrier system also includes a frame to support the pliable barrier material in position when in the area above the top of the row of computer cabinets. The frame is to be supported by the row of computer cabinets without support from the overhead surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Blaine Schmidt, Kevin J. Gebke, Nicholas L. Kaufmann, Philip Sloan, William A. Niehaus

Publication number: 20240068702Abstract: Apparatus for tensioning pliable airducts while supporting internal HVAC components are disclosed. An airduct system includes an airduct having a tubular wall of a pliable material. The airduct is elongate in a longitudinal direction. The airduct system further includes a frame including a hoop disposable inside the airduct to support the tubular wall in a radial direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The hoop is less flexible than the pliable material. The airduct system also includes a sensor to be attached to the frame to be in fluid communication with a current of air within the airduct. The sensor is to provide a feedback signal that varies in response to a changing condition of the current of air.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Blaine Schmidt, Kevin J. Gebke, Nicholas L. Kaufmann, William A. Niehaus
