Patent number: 11931663Abstract: An automated damping system including a damping device arranged and disposed to provide variable resistance to a load. The variable resistance provides resistance values corresponding to a displacement position of the damping device. The system includes a damping profile generator that calculates a damping profile and a sensor is arranged and disposed to measure one or more damping affecting properties. The sensor provides the one or more damping affecting properties to the damping profile generator. The damping profile provides the variable resistance based upon the one or more damping affecting properties of the load.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: TAIT TOWERS MANUFACTURING, LLCInventors: Matthew Steven Bettinger, Nicholas James Bonsell, Andrew Phillips Mudie, Andrew John Penney, James Fowler Shumway, Jr., McLane Walker Snow

Publication number: 20240073003Abstract: A method of data transfer from a tenant to a service provider comprises encrypting the data with a public key of a key pair generated by a secure device within the service provider system. The data thus cannot be accessed by the service provider during transmission. The data is generated with a corresponding access control list, which specifies that a valid certificate must be presented in order to grant a particular use of the data once stored. The tenant can thus retain control of the use of the data even though it has been transferred out of the tenant system. A method of controlling use of data securely stored in the service provider system comprises issuing a use certificate having an expiry time to the party requesting use of the data. The use certificate must be validated before use of the stored data is granted. This enables the tenant to grant use of the stored data for a limited time period.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: NCIPHER SECURITY LIMITEDInventors: Ian BYGRAVE, Alec EDGINGTON, Richard KETTLEWELL, David O'DOHERTY, Nicholas SMITH, Neil WALKER

Patent number: 11899108Abstract: A guiding system guides an autonomous movable object. The guiding system has a time-of-flight imaging system, which has a first light source to illuminate a first field of detection; and a light sensor. The light sensor detects first and second reflected light. The first reflected light has light emitted by the first light source reflected at the first field of detection. The second reflected light originates from a second field of detection illuminated by a second light source, which is independent from the first light source and is coupled to a different movable object. The imaging system differentiates between the first and second reflected light, determines a depth map of the first field of detection based on the detected first reflected light, and generates feedback. The imaging system has a motion controller that receives the feedback, and modifies a motion of the autonomous movable object based on the feedback.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2020Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: TRUMPF PHOTONIC COMPONENTS GMBHInventors: Stephan Gronenborn, Jan Jasper Van den Berg, Matthew John Lawrenson, Nicholas Walker
