  • Publication number: 20240053156
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to systems and methods for data processing, and more specifically for classifying telematics data to identify gig driving associated with vehicle trips. In one implementation, a method may include the operations of segmenting a trip of a vehicle to yield multiple segments, generating, via a feature extraction component, one or more input features associated with each segment of the multiple segments based on input data indicating driving characteristics during the trip, determining, via a gig detection component, whether the trip is associated with gig driving based on the one or more input features associated with teach segment, and outputting an indication of whether the trip is associated with gig driving based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20230291206
Abstract: The energy management system and method provide for the control of electrical loads within a group. In one embodiment, a plurality of electrical loads are connected to an electrical grid and, upon detection of a predetermined condition, a user-defined sub-set of the electrical loads are disconnected from the electrical grid. The predetermined condition may be, for example, a blackout, thus when an interruption in power from the grid is detected by one or more sensors, the user-defined sub-set of the electrical loads is electrically disconnected from its electrical connection to the grid power. Following this disconnection, at least one of the electrical loads from the user-defined sub-set of the electrical loads is connected to an alternative source of power, such as a backup battery, a solar power system, a generator or the like.

  • Patent number: 11652386
Abstract: A device and method for detection of wear of a sliding contact which may be displaced along a brushgear, includes a sensor and a measurement indicator designed for detection by the sensor. The sensor and the measurement indicator approach or move away from each other by a shortening of the sliding contact caused by wear, and a brushgear system. The problem of enabling simple, reliable detection of the practically complete wear of the sliding contact is addressed by the sensor being designed for contactless and/or contacting detection of the measurement indicator, and by means of a brushgear system having a device of this kind, and also a method of this kind in which the sensor detects the measurement indicator becoming closer to the sensor contactlessly and/or contactingly and, when a threshold value for a predetermined wear of the sliding contact is exceeded, issues a warning signal.

  • Publication number: 20220294222
Abstract: The energy management system and method provide for the control of electrical loads within a group. The group of electrical loads are prioritized in terms of importance or criticality to remain electrically connected. Prioritization can be received as rankings input by the user or as a set of rankings generated by a learning-based artificial intelligence system. One or more energy-related goals are input, with the one or more energy-related goals including at least one energy-related parameter. The one or more energy-related goals may be received as input from the user through a user interface, using, for example, a sliding controller displayed to the user on the user interface. Energy consumption of each of the electrical loads in the group is monitored, and at least one lowest ranked electrical load is disconnected when the monitored energy consumption deviates from the one or more energy-related goals.

  • Patent number: 11441630
Abstract: A stop buffer for absorbing kinetic energy in a collision between two objects, includes a first spring body made of an elastic material. The first spring body is connected to a carrier body, and includes at least one electrical sensor, which has a triggering element that can be mechanically actuated. The sensor outputs a signal when the triggering element is actuated. The sensor is arranged relative to the carrier body in such a way that the triggering element is actuated by a detachment of the first spring body from the carrier body, or an actuation mechanism is provided, by which the triggering element of the sensor is actuated by a force acting on the carrier body in a collision when the force exceeds a predefined magnitude that indicates a failure of the first spring body because of wear or, if the first spring body is intact, indicates excessive collision energy.
