  • Patent number: 11937955
Abstract: An intermittent catheter package including a plurality of components and a catheterization tray configured to facilitate a catheterization procedure. The plurality of components include a urinary catheter fluidly connected to a urine-drainage bag and a sampling-port access device configured to fluidly connect to a urine-sampling port of the urinary catheter or the urine-drainage bag for aseptic collection of one or more urine samples. The catheterization tray includes at least a first compartment, a second compartment, and a third compartment configured to hold the plurality of components. The first compartment is configured to hold the urinary catheter. The second compartment is connected to the first compartment by an intercompartment connection. The second compartment is configured to hold the urine-drainage bag. The third compartment is configured to hold the sampling-port access device. Step-by-step instructions are incorporated into the catheterization tray to facilitate the catheterization procedure.

  • Publication number: 20070160713
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a calcium-enriched chewable baked food product in which at least one piece of the food product provides the recommended daily DRI of elemental calcium. The calcium-enriched baked food product has a mouth feel, texture and taste substantially similar to a non-calcium-enriched baked food product. The food product also provides Vitamin D3 in a range of 100-2400 IU and optionally may be enrobed with a flavored coating. The present invention is also directed to a method for producing the calcium-enriched food product.

  • Publication number: 20050003342
Abstract: The invention relates to herpesviruses genetic markers, and provides methods and materials for sub-typing, classifying, identifying or monitoring an Equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) isolate, the method comprising use of genetic markers shown in Table 5 (preferably those shown in ORF68). In another aspect the invention provides methods and materials for assessing the virulence of herpesviruses comprising the use of genetic markers (e.g. within the herpesvirus DNA polymerase (ORF30 in EHV-1). In another aspect the invention provides vaccines based on the manipulation of the markers disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5734589
Abstract: Dynamic programming of a digital entertainment terminal (DET) facilitates operation of the terminal to offer a variety of functionally different broadband services. The terminal includes a network interface module which couples the terminal to a specific type of communication network for receiving a digital broadband channel. The DET downloads on a narrowband signaling channel a VIP program map that identifies the available video information service providers (VIPs) on the basis of the location of their corresponding software control signals. The software control signals are transmitted cyclically to enable access by a random DET at any time. A program memory captures the VIP program map and at least a portion of the software control signals received over the digital broadband channel as software executable by the control processor during turn-on of the DET.
