    Abstract: Exemplary soap or sanitizer dispenser and methods of operating such dispensers are disclosed herein. An exemplary soap or sanitizer dispenser include a reservoir for holding soap or sanitizer, a pump, a dispensing spout and an object sensor. The pump is in fluid communication with the reservoir and with the dispensing spout. The dispensing spout is located remotely from the pump. The dispenser further includes a liquid present sensor. The liquid present sensor is proximate the dispensing spout. The dispenser further includes circuitry for causing the pump to pump liquid from the reservoir, circuitry for receiving a signal form the liquid level switch that liquid is present, circuitry for causing the pump to stop pumping liquid after liquid is detected at the liquid present sensor, circuitry for receiving a signal from the object sensor that an object has been detected and circuitry for causing the pump to dispense a dose of fluid.

    Abstract: Exemplary compact multi-chamber diaphragm pumps and dispensers for dispensing foam soap or sanitizer are disclosed herein. An exemplary pump for pumping soap or sanitizer and air separately to be mixed remote from the pump and dispensed as a foam includes a liquid pump diaphragm and a dual flapper valve, wherein a first of the dual flapper valves is a liquid inlet valve and a second of the dual flapper valves is a liquid outlet valve. The pump further includes two or more air pump diaphragms and a valve plate. The valve plate has a liquid inlet passage, a liquid outlet passage, a liquid outlet valve seat, two or more air inlet passages, two or more air inlet valve anchors and two or more air inlet valves secured to the valve plate. A pump manifold is also included, the pump manifold includes a liquid inlet valve seat.

    Abstract: Exemplary through-the-wall touch-free dispensers are disclosed herein. An exemplary through-the-wall touch-free dispensers system includes an elongated wall mounting base. The elongated wall mounting base has a length and a width, the length is greater than the width and the wall mounting base is configured such that the length is in the vertical direction when the touch-free dispenser is mounted on a wall. Also included is a spout and a base housing. The spout extends further outward from the wall than the base housing and the base housing extends below the spout. An object sensor is located in the base housing below the spout. A liquid inlet conduit that is configured to extend through at least a portion of the wall is also included. A pump is in fluid communication with the liquid inlet. A reservoir for holding liquid is in fluid communication with the pump. In addition, the dispenser includes control circuitry for causing the touch-free dispenser to dispense fluid.

    Abstract: Exemplary hand-held sprayer systems are shown and described herein. An exemplary hand-held sprayer system includes a container for holding fluid. The container has a neck. A closure connects to the neck. A fluid conduit extends from the closure to a dispensing wand. The dispensing wand is configured to be held in a hand and to be moved about while dispensing fluid. A data tag is secured to the container. The dispensing wand has a trigger, a data tag reader, a pump, a motor, a power source, a processor and memory. The hand-held sprayer also includes logic for causing the processor to determine whether a data read from the data tag meets a criteria for allowing the dispensing of fluid from the container. If the data read from the data tag meets the criteria, fluid is dispensed from the container when the trigger is activated.

The reservoir has at least one engagement member, and the liquid passage and the air passage are located in the engagement member. The refill container has at least one sealing member, and the refill container is configured to be releasably attached to the reservoir such that the refill container is in fluid communication with the reservoir. When the refill container is attached to the reservoir, the engagement member engages the sealing member to cause the liquid passage and the air passage to be in fluid communication with the refill container.

An exemplary dispenser includes a housing; a receptacle for receiving a container; a container of fluid comprising soap, sanitizer or lotion; a pump in fluid communication with the container; a power source; a pump coupled to a motor and pulse width modulation circuitry in circuit communication with the power source and the motor. The pulse width modulation circuitry is initially set to cause a selected dose of fluid to be dispensed at a base speed. A sensor for detecting a parameter indicative of an actual speed of a dispense of the fluid is also included. When the actual speed of the dispense of fluid is less than the base speed or greater than the base speed, the pulse width modulation circuitry adjusts the pulse width to cause the speed of a following dispense of fluid to be closer to the base speed.
