Publication number: 20240365996Abstract: A self-closing door assembly for limiting access to goods displayed on a shelving system. A frame assembly is attached to the shelving system adjacent the front edge of a first shelf, with upper and lower guide rails to slidably engage a pair of overlapping and self-closing doors. The door are aligned to laterally slide open from a closed position at which they interfere with manual access to the goods displayed on the shelf. Springs disposed between the frame assembly and the doors urge the doors toward the closed position. The doors are adapted for manual engagement to be urged toward the open position, and the springs automatically return the doors to the closed position upon manual release thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2023Publication date: November 7, 2024Applicant: VIRA Insight, LLCInventors: Nick Farinola, James W. Patent number: 11793329Abstract: A locking case system for cosmetic products includes a fixture adapted to receive cosmetic products and a locking case adapted to be coupled to the fixture. Upon coupling the locking case to the fixture, at least one snap member of at least one side wall of the locking case is snapped into at least one receiving portion of the at least one side wall of the fixture. In addition, at least one snap member of a rear wall of the locking case is snapped into at least one receiving aperture in a top edge of a rear wall of the fixture. Further, at least one snap member of a front member of the locking case is snapped into the at least one receiving aperture of a front wall of the fixture to secure the cosmetic products to the fixture.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2022Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: WALGREEN CO.Inventors: Scott Fink, Nick Farinola

Patent number: 11647850Abstract: A retail display hook for merchandise packaged with a hang tab aperture includes mounting bracket with a hang bar and an access bar cantilevered therefrom. The hang bar extends outwardly along a straight portion, through an upwardly peaked portion, and followed by an upwardly angled portion. An access flap pivotally engages a distal end of the access bar, and is located above and adjacent to the distal end of the hang bar. The access flap includes an arrester extension and a blocker extension. Rotation of the access flap between a display position and an access position controls removal of merchandise to one unit at a time, requiring cyclical operation to remove more than one unit.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2021Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: VIRA Insight, LLCInventors: Nick Farinola, Ansh B. Jhaveri, Matthew J. Goebel

Patent number: 11510506Abstract: An expandable product pusher display for displaying products while urging the products to the front of the display as they are removed by consumers. Left and right end caps support plural tiers of product pusher assemblies, each including left and right product platforms with pushers having springs arranged to urge the products forwardly. Each tier includes a scissor mechanism expandably disposed between the left and right product platforms, and configured to adjust the distance therebetween while maintaining parallel alignment, so as to accommodate products of different width through adjustment of the scissor mechanisms.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2021Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: VIRA Insight, LLCInventor: Nick Farinola

Publication number: 20050230338Abstract: A fixture for displaying merchandise and a method are provided. The fixture includes a generally vertical back panel having opposed lateral edges and opposed top and bottom edges. The back panel defines at least one engageable member extending in a generally horizontal direction between the lateral edges. In addition, the fixture includes at least one generally vertical partition having at least one cooperative engaging member removably attached to the engageable member of the back panel. The vertical partition extends substantially between the top and bottom edges of the back panel, and further extends generally orthogonal from the back panel and generally orthogonal to the engageable member on the back panel. The vertical partition is advantageously slidable in a lateral direction to define variable lateral positions on the back panel.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2004Publication date: October 20, 2005Inventors: Nick Farinola, Eric Grassel, Charles Babboni, Larry Shelton, Cindy Buffi
