    Abstract: Three-dimensional single or multilayer polymer scaffolds for use in tissue engineering and other applications are provided. These scaffolds typically include at least two layers of biodegradable polymer of similar thickness, wherein each layer of polymer further includes a plurality of substantially uniform structural features having predetermined geometries, and wherein each layer of polymer is attached to the other layers of polymer to form predefined spatial relationships between the structural features of each layer.
