    Abstract: A position, navigation, and timing (PNT) system, a satellite terminal and methods for using the same are disclosed. In some embodiments, a satellite terminal includes an antenna aperture and a computing device. The computing device is operable to execute an inversion algorithm to derive a location of the satellite terminal. This can be used when an external reference to its location is not available. The satellite terminal also includes a transcoder to create a transcoded signal using the location and a modem communicably coupled to the transcoder and the antenna aperture to receive the transcoded signal.
