Patent number: 6953039Abstract: A medicament dispensing device for dispensing metered dosages of medicaments from a container. The device includes a container and an indicating device. The container has a first end and an opposite second end spaced from the first end along a longitudinal axis. The first end includes a valve stem extending longitudinally therefrom and moveable between a closed position and an open position. The container contains a plurality of metered dosages of medicaments, with the valve stem dispensing one of the plurality of metered dosages when the valve stem is moved to the open position. The second end has an end surface. The indicating device includes a housing and an indicator member disposed in the housing. The housing is mounted to the second end of the container with a bottom surface thereof disposed adjacent the end surface of the second end of the container. The housing and the second end of the container have substantially the same shape.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2003Date of Patent: October 11, 2005Assignee: Trudell Medical InternationalInventors: Peter Mycola Scarrott, Jerry R. Publication number: 20050166258Abstract: A centralized Digital Video Recording (DVR) and reproduction system (100) linking several reproduction and control units (such as television receivers (124, 128, 132), etc.) to a centralized media server (152) allows system users (124, 128, 132) to not only access the same program or programs from different receivers (106, 110), but to pause and resume the same programs from the same marker points (“bookmarks”) established by any system user (124, 128, 132). The program “bookmark” representing the program pause point is conveniently shown via a graphical user interface display with a bookmark icon, including the name of the user (124, 128, 132) who established the bookmark and the exact pause point in the program.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2002Publication date: July 28, 2005Inventors: Alexander Vasilevsky, Carlton Sparrell, David Lively, Nick Schmidt

Patent number: 6761161Abstract: An indicating device for indicating the number of metered doses of medicaments that have been dispensed from or remain in a container having a valve stem extending longitudinally therefrom and moveable between an open and closed position. The indicating device includes a base member adapted to be mounted to the container, a cap member moveably connected to the base member, one or more indicator members rotatably mounted to the cap member and an indicating mechanism adapted to rotate the indicator member an incremental amount upon a predetermined number of axial movements of the cap member relative to the base member. A preferred embodiment of the indicating device includes a ratchet wheel, a drive member selectively engaging the indicating member, a pawl selectively engaging the ratchet wheel, and a non-return member adapted to selectively engage the ratchet wheel so as to maintain a unidirectional rotation of the ratchet wheel.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2001Date of Patent: July 13, 2004Assignee: Trudell Medical InternationalInventors: Peter Mycola Scarrott, Jerry R. Patent number: 6729330Abstract: An indicating device suitable for indicating the number of metered dosages that have been dispensed from or remain in a container including a base member adapted to be mounted to the container and a cap member moveably connected to the base member. The cap member is moveable relative to the base member along an axial path between a first position and a second position a predetermined number of axial movements. An indicator member is rotatably mounted to the cap member. A first lock member disposed on the base member, and a second lock member is disposed on one of the indicator member and the cap member. The first and second lock members are engaged after the predetermined number of axial movements of the cap member relative to the base member, wherein the first and second lock members maintain the cap member and the base member in one of the first position and the second position when engaged.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2002Date of Patent: May 4, 2004Assignee: Trudell Medical InternationalInventors: Peter Mykola Scarrott, James Nick Schmidt, Jerry R.
