  • Publication number: 20160241112
Abstract: A genset has an enclosure in which a bulkhead separates the enclosure into a high pressure compartment and a low pressure compartment. A first fan is located in the high pressure compartment and draws ambient air into the high pressure compartment and pressurizes the high pressure compartment to a first pressure that is greater than ambient pressure. A radiator is located within the high pressure compartment such that the pressurized air in the high pressure compartment flows through the radiator and out of the high pressure compartment. A generator is located in the high pressure compartment and provides a gas flow path therethrough from the high pressure compartment to the low pressure compartment. An engine is located in the low pressure compartment and is coupled to the radiator for cooling and is coupled to the generator through the bulkhead to drive the generator.
