    Abstract: A crash-tested single point restraining device comprising a housing having a tensioning and retracting mechanism which is mechanically coupled to a reel assembly secured within the housing, a first end having a standard seat belt insert member and/or an anchoring point connecting element, an extendable and retractable seat belt webbing anchored within the housing having a harness connecting member at a second end which is distal from the first end, a stitched area formed near said distal end of the retractable seat belt webbing, the stitched area being formed by looping a length of the seat belt webbing about a looping bar and collar adaptor and sewing the looped end upon itself, and a retraction limiting component integrated on the seat belt webbing between the housing and the stitching to prevent damage to the stitching. In an alternate embodiment, the housing is affixed permanently to an interior location of a vehicle.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a single point restraining system for pets. The system is designed to be used with an automotive safety belt restraining system. A first end of the system is a housing having tensioning components therein with the housing having a standard male seat belt connector. An extendable and retractable belt is anchored within the housing, the belt having a connecting end formed by looping a length of material around a male connector. A retraction limiting component is attached to the connecting end of the belt to prevent damage thereto. The housing can be attached to a seat belt receiver and the belt may have a collar attachment for connection to a pet collar.

The device includes a condensation chamber (12) having an inlet and an outlet and arranged such that breath exhaled from the lungs of a user flows through the condensation chamber from the inlet to the outlet; at least one cooling element (16); and a frame (18) supporting the condensation chamber and the at least one cooling element. The frame (18) is movable between a first configuration in which the at least one cooling element is operable to cool the condensation chamber so as to promote the formation of breath condensate in the condensation chamber, and a second configuration in which the cooling element is displaced from the condensation chamber so as to encourage condensate to flow into a collection region in fluid communication with the condensation chamber.
