  • Patent number: 9458783
Abstract: System for controlling the carburetion of an internal combustion engine comprising the following activities: a) starting the engine; b) determining the factor ?o using any known method; c) measuring the ionization current cio; d) modifying—from outside—the factor ? by a predefined amount equivalent to ?? bringing it to the value ?1=?o+??; e) repeating the measurement of the ionization current ci1; f) calculating the value of the difference of the ionization current A?ci1 equivalent to cio?Ci1; g) repeating operations d. and e. until the difference between the last value of the ionization current o,? and the second last value cin-1 is smaller than ?ci; where ?ci is a predefined value which is assumed to have no influence with respect to the carburetion.

  • Patent number: 9046061
Abstract: A purifying system for combustive air in an internal combustion engine is provided. The system includes an intake conduit of combustive air into the engine, a discharge conduit of the exhaust gases produced by the engine, and a cyclone separator associated to the intake conduit and provided with a collecting tank of detritus, a link conduit which has a greater diameter than the discharge conduit and which is inserted on at least a terminal tract of the discharge conduit, such that a hollow space is defined between the terminal tract and the link conduit, and a connecting conduit destined to connect the collecting tank with the hollow space by flowing into the link conduit upstream of an end of the discharge conduit with respect to an outflow of the exhaust gases.

  • Publication number: 20120097141
Abstract: A two-stroke internal combustion engine is provided and includes a casing, a cylinder, a piston skirt, an aspirating port, a carburetor which supplies the casing with an air/fuel mixture, through said aspirating port, a transfer conduit which opens into the cylinder through an air/fuel inlet port, and a fuel storage system, or resonance tube which communicates with a first port located above the aspirating port, and with a second port located below the aspirating port. The first port and the second port are alternatingly opened by the piston skirt, which includes a through-hole having a diameter between 0.5 and 3.0 mm. The through-hole being located, when the piston is mounted in the engine, in a same radial plane as the second port.
