  • Patent number: 4593961
Abstract: An interconnector device for electrical conductors and compression assemblies therefor has a plurality of rigid electrically conductive rods, each rod being imbedded in a fixed cross-sectional plane of a dielectric, compressible core and projecting therefrom, whereupon application of an orthogonal compressive force will cause the rods to rotate relative to the core thereby causing the ends of the rods to move along two non-coincident lines of action to establish wiping electrical connection with the conductors.

  • Patent number: 4494807
Abstract: A low profile chip carrier housing contact having a very short electrical contact path is taught. Briefly stated, the device includes a frame having contacts arranged on each of the sides of the frame. The contact members are uniquely shaped so as to exert optimum forces of contact mating values between a leadless integrated circuit chip carrier package and a printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4488766
Abstract: A high density circuit board edge connector having a very short electrical contact path is taught. Briefly stated, an insulative housing comprised of two parts have contained therein a cylindrical contact carrier being held in the housing by resiliently deformable spring steel members with the contact carrier having a series of slots therein by which a contact is fitted to. The contact is semi-circular in shape conforming to the configuration of the contact carrier. A camming device which is generally triangular in shape resides in one corner of the contact housing and through lateral movement parallel to the axis of the contact carrier urges the contact carrier and hence the contacts downwardly and outwardly while movement of the cam in the reverse lateral direction allows the spring steel members to urge the contact carrier and hence the contacts inwardly and upwardly.

  • Patent number: 4477133
Abstract: A miniature circuit board edge connector having a very short electrical contact path is taught. Briefly stated, an insulative housing has contained therein a resiliently flexible contact holder which has electrically conductive contacts pivotally attached thereto. A camming device is disposed on top of the contact holder so as to cause resilient flexing of the contact holder. Flexing of the contact holder causes the contacts to pivot downward and outward from the contact holder and thereby come in contact with an electrically conductive path on a daughter board which is adjacent thereto and also with a conductive post which is mounted in the base of the connector assembly and attached to a mother board. The electrical path between the daughter board circuit path and the mother board conductive posts through the contact is very short and in a slightly arcuate manner which minimizes inductive, capacitive and propagation delay effects which may come about.

  • Patent number: 4469389
Abstract: A miniature circuit board edge connector assembly includes an insulative housing 2, electrical spring blades 12A in the housing, conductor portions 12B pivotally interlocked with the spring blades 12A and pivotally impinged against corresponding conductive post portions 11, a cam 30 resiliently flexes the spring blades 12A, causing the conductor portions to pivot and engage circuit conductors 37 of a circuit board 38, and to provide circuit paths, from this circuit conductors 37 to the post portions 11, that are shorter than the lengths of the spring blades 12A.

  • Patent number: 4059259
Abstract: A cartridge for containing sheets to be fed into a reprographic machine comprising a container having an opening and a support band wound from a feed reel to a take-up reel mounted on said container, and carrying thereon sheets spaced along and interwound with the band on the feed reel. The support band and a sheet positioned thereon is guided from the feed reel to the take-up reel along a predetermined path passing adjacent to the opening. Adjacent to the opening the sheet is separated from the band to guide it through the opening, whereby the sheet is fed out from the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 3971553
Abstract: An automatic sheet changing system for a reprographic machine comprising a cyclically movable, sheet transporting member having gripping elements for retaining a sheet thereon, a support band wound from a feed reel to a take-up reel and carrying thereon sheets spaced along and interwound with the band, recovery means operative in a sheet changing cycle to remove a used sheet from the sheet-transporting member, feed means operable in the sheet changing cycle to wind a length of the band off the feed reel on to the take-up reel, means operative to separate a fresh sheet from the band advancing between the reels and to guide the sheet to the gripping elements, and means for actuating the gripping elements to grip the fresh sheet.
