Abstract: A closure for a container, which specifically may contain cosmetic product, the closure having a hinged lid which is connected in one piece to a base part via a film hinge, the film hinge having a pivot axis, there being a latching mechanism which keeps the hinged lid in a first stable position, and a springy element acting on the hinged lid. The springy element is tensioned in the first stable position and, after the release of the latching mechanism, automatically displaces the hinged lid by means of a driving spring force and with a pivoting movement into a second stable position. There is a separate control element which, at least during part of the pivoting movement, controls the spring force acting on the hinged lid.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided for dispensing a flowable product from a container. The dispenser includes a roller applicator having a roller housing and roller rotatably mounted on the roller housing. The dispenser also includes an openable closure and sealing elements. The closure pivots relative to the roller to provide an open position in which the roller is uncovered and a closed position in which the roller is covered by the closure to the outside. The sealing elements are located between the roller and the roller housing and are activated by turning the closure into the closed position.

The label is printed on high quality paper or plastic film and has a picture of a human model whose hair is the color sought to be obtained by the hair dye. The printing process provides an accurate reproduction of the tone and hue of each hair color over the entire production run of the labels. The container may be a relatively low cost generic container of web-printed paperboard or plastic produced in a high volume production run.

Abstract: A method of printing multi-color images on pressure sensitive labels carried on a web uses a disk shaped mark for each color which is printed to form the image. The disks (spots) are printed on the image, or elsewhere on the top layer of the web, with one disk being printed on top of the other, so that the marks coincide in size, shape and position. If a color is misregistered, it appears as a crescent which extends beyond the multi-colored disk. Such misregistration may be immediately viewed on a video magnifier, using at least 400.times. magnification, and the misregistration corrected.
