  • Patent number: 10647948
Abstract: The need for a fast acting and broad spectrum antimicrobial composition which does not reduce surface shine and does not leave visible residues on the surface, while also providing greater residuality of the actives can be met by formulating antimicrobial compositions as described herein.

  • Patent number: 10617273
Abstract: A cleaning article. The cleaning article has a laminate construction. The cleaning article has a width and comprises a sheet, having an inwardly oriented face and an outwardly oriented face opposed thereto. An absorbent core is joined to one face of the sheet. A hydrophilic gather strip element having strips is joined to the sheet. The core has a core width and the gather strip element has a gather strip width which is greater than the core width. The differential widths provide a construction which allows the strips to advantageously present a dynamically changing area to the target surface during cleaning, under normal usage conditions. By changing the surface area, more liquids, and associated debris, can be cleaned from the target surface.

  • Patent number: 10542862
Abstract: A cleaning pad for absorbing liquids from a hard, target surface. In one embodiment the cleaning pad comprises a pad having a floor sheet, and a core joined to the floor sheet. The floor sheet has a combination of polymeric synthetic fibers and natural cellulose fibers. A cleaning strip is joined to the outwardly facing surface of the floor sheet. The cleaning pad provides both good absorbency and a coefficient of friction falling within a specified range judged advantageous for cleaning. The absorbency and coefficient of friction work well with an amine oxide cleaning solution.

  • Publication number: 20190298142
Abstract: A cleaning article defining an XY plane and a Z direction perpendicular to the plane. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers bonded to a carrier sheet by primary bonds. The discrete tufts have secondary bond lines external to the tufts. The secondary bond lines interrupt the Z-direction thickness of the tufts, to provide channels for improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The tufts are created by slits between the primary bonds and secondary bonds, which yield plural tuft sizes. The slits may be transversely unequally spaced between adjacent bonds.

  • Publication number: 20190104909
Abstract: A cleaning article for cleaning a target surface. The cleaning article has tow fibers attached to a carrier sheet. The tow fibers are advantageously provided with an exterior coating. The coating is applied in an amount sufficient to be efficacious, but not wasteful or which leaves residue. The amount of coating is correlated with the amount of moisture in the tow.

  • Publication number: 20190076886
Abstract: A method of making a cleaning article. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers. The discrete tufts are unequally spaced from adjacent tufts, to provide improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The cleaning article may be made by cutting out spaces between tufts from a precursor sheet. Optionally the precursor sheet may be attached to a carrier sheet.

  • Publication number: 20190075993
Abstract: A cleaning article. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers. The discrete tufts are unequally spaced from adjacent tufts, to provide improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The tufts may have a pitch, the pitch decreasing as the longitudinal axis of the cleaning article is approached. The cleaning article may be made by cutting out spaces between tufts from a precursor sheet and attaching the precursor sheet to a carrier sheet. Or the cleaning article may be made by cutting a precursor sheet having tufts into discrete portions. These discrete portions are bonded to a carrier sheet.

  • Publication number: 20190075994
Abstract: A cleaning article. The cleaning article has tufts of tow fibers. At least some of the tufts are unequally spaced from adjacent tufts, to provide improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The tufts may be disposed in rows, which are unequally spaced from adjacent rows. The cleaning article may be made by cutting out spaces between tufts from a precursor sheet and attaching the precursor sheet to a carrier sheet. The cleaning article may be made by cutting a precursor sheet having tufts into discrete portions. The discrete portions are bonded to a carrier sheet.

  • Publication number: 20180289234
Abstract: A cleaning article for cleaning a target surface. The cleaning article has strips which present a dynamically changing surface area to the target surface during use. The surface area has also has a bundle of tow fibers which may be oriented transverse to the strips. The tow fibers may extend outwardly from the plane of the strips, allowing particles to migrate towards and be retained near the center of the cleaning article, without interfering with the strips.

  • Patent number: 10064534
Abstract: A cleaning pad for absorbing liquids from a hard, target surface. The cleaning pad has a hydrophobic floor sheet, and a core joined to the floor sheet. The core has absorbent gelling material therein with a gradient distribution, so that the pad has a particular minimum absorbency as used with water or with common amine oxide cleaning solution. A hydrophilic smoothing strip is joined to the outwardly facing surface of said floor sheet. The cleaning pad provides both good absorbency and a coefficient of friction falling within a specified range judged advantageous for cleaning. The absorbency and coefficient of friction work well with both water and an amine oxide cleaning solution.

  • Publication number: 20180155026
Abstract: A drone which can be piloted autonomously or by a user. The drone has an air treatment dispenser for spraying, or otherwise treating, a target area with one or more desired air treatments. The drone may operate as deemed desirable by a user, upon a predetermined schedule or in response to a demand signal from one or more target areas. By delivering the air treatments from an elevated position, the target area can be more uniformly and efficiently treated.

  • Patent number: 9974423
Abstract: An implement for a cleaning system. The system has a floor cleaning device, which can accept a cleaning sheet removably attachable to the device. The device has a foot which comprises a housing and a panel movable in relationship to each other. The sheet is removably attachable to the panel, without requiring attachment to the housing. This arrangement provides ergonomic benefit and ease of sheet replacement. The cleaning system may be used to clean hard surfaces, such as a floor.

  • Publication number: 20180042439
Abstract: A nonwoven sheet, having a first outwardly facing surface and a second outwardly facing surface. Wax is disposed in a wax pattern on the first surface; and oil is disposed in an oil pattern on the second surface. The oil pattern is not coincident the wax pattern so that wax blocks the oil from permeating through to the first surface. The first surface may be textured with peaks and valleys, having wax disposed on the peaks. This arrangement keeps the oil from contacting the target surface and leaving residue, while allowing the oil to collect and retain debris. The sheet may be executed as a dry sheet for cleaning surfaces such as floors or as a duster.
