  • Patent number: 11002470
Abstract: Injection devices are provided for injecting additives into a refrigeration or air conditioning systems, which include a tubular element defining an inner chamber, the inner chamber having a volume at least equal to the volume of the quantity of additive to be injected. An inlet fitting is attached to a first end of the tubular element; an outlet fitting is attached to a second end of the tubular element. The devices are also provided with an additive inlet port, distinct from the inlet and outlet ducts, fluidically communicating with the inner chamber and configured for removable connection to an additive injection device. The inlet port is engaged by a one-way valve suitable for allowing the passage of the additive only from the injection device to the inner chamber. Kits and methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10976087
Abstract: An apparatus for injecting an additive in a pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system includes a cartridge having two ends, a first open end which connects to the system being charged and a second open end, and wherein the first open end has a threaded nozzle. A piston is sealably disposed with the second open end of the cartridge. An adapter is provided to sealably and releasably connect the cartridge to a service valve of the pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system without the interposition of an intermediate hose assembly. The adapter is a fitting having a fitting body with a first end portion connectible to the threaded nozzle of the cartridge and a second end portion connectible to the service valve of the pressurized air conditioning or refrigeration system.
