  • Publication number: 20140178457
Abstract: The application concerns a Binder (comprising sulfamic acid, ammonium sulfamate and ammonium sulfate) and process of production of fabrics containing cyclodextrins fixed to the binder. The technology allows fixing a binder to natural, synthetic or artificial fibers, and, by means of a thermal processes, to fix cyclodextrins to the same binder, giving rise to fabrics suitable to incorporate active principles and to release them along with time. Peculiar characteristics of the binder are its abilities to interact with several types of fabric, independently of their composition, and with several types of cyclodextrin. Other peculiarities of embodiments are: the ability to produce functionalized fabrics, adapted to be weighted with desired molecules and release them gradually along time, with a process that does not alter the original characteristics of the fabric; the possibility of repeating several times the weighting of such molecules, so as to be able to define such fabrics as “reloadable” or “rechargeable.

  • Patent number: 5731014
Abstract: A modular injection mold assembly having a core part with an ejector box side securable to a mold base and a core side presenting a first mold face on an outer surface. The assembly further includes a cavity part presenting a second mold face mountable opposite the first mold face. An ejector assembly is mounted within the ejector box side of the core part and has a base member and at least one ejector pin extending from the base member through the core. The ejector assembly is movable relative to the core between a retracted position in which an outer end of each of the ejector pins forms part of the first mold face and an extended position wherein the outer end of each of the ejector pins protrudes from the first mold face. The base member of the ejector assembly further includes a cam follower for causing the ejector assembly to move from the retracted position to the extended position in response to input from a cam mounted to either the mold base or the core.

  • Patent number: 4312630
Abstract: A nozzle apparatus for use in an injection mold comprising a relatively massive body, having a central passageway extending axially therethrough, and a counterbore connecting therewith, having threads formed therein, and having a nozzle tip member, having threads at one end whereby the same may be threaded into said counterbore, and having a central passageway communicating with the central passageway in the body portion, and having at least one opening at its other end, for ejection of plastic therefrom, said body and said nozzle tip member being formed of a good heat conductive material, and a housing shell adapted to fit around said body portion and at least a portion of said nozzle tip member, and, support means formed integrally with said housing, for supporting said housing and said main body portion and said nozzle tip member therein in position.
