  • Publication number: 20230109902
Abstract: A machine-implemented method, at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, and a computing system are provided for attenuating noise. A computing system receives a seismic image and generates a first image using a first neural network configured to identify low-frequency ground roll in a seismic image, and a second image using a second neural network configured to identify reflections in the seismic image. A combined image is generated by combining the first image and the second image. The first neural network and the second neural network are adjusted to reduce a difference between the combined image and the seismic image using frequency constraint to guide separation of the seismic image into the first image and the second image.

  • Patent number: 11467304
Abstract: The present application pertains to methods and systems for detecting an underground archeologic structure. The method comprises transmitting P (longitudinal)-waves and S (shear)-waves into the earth. Reflected P (longitudinal)-waves and reflected S (shear)-waves are then received using one or more receivers located on the surface of the earth and one or more receivers located beneath the surface of the earth. The underground archeologic structure is identified using a differentiation between the one or more receivers located on the surface of the earth and the one or more receivers located beneath the surface of the earth.

  • Patent number: 10520623
Abstract: Methods and systems for marine survey acquisition are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is provided that may deploy a marine seismic spread that includes a first seismic source, a second seismic source and a streamer with a receiver. The second source may be disposed at a distance from the first seismic source in an inline direction. The distance may be selected to produce one or more pairs of shot points during a seismic survey. The shot points within a pair may be disposed within a range that is used to calculate a pressure source gradient between the shot points within the pair. The method may shoot the first seismic source and the second seismic source substantially simultaneously. The method may record seismic data associated with shooting the first seismic source and the second seismic source. The method may calculate the pressure source gradient for respective pairs of shot points.

  • Patent number: RE47389
Abstract: A technique for acquiring wide azimuth seismic data using simultaneous shooting is presented in which a plurality of seismic sources are positioned to achieve a desired crossline sampling as a function of the number of passes. This is accomplished by “interleaving” sources as deployed in the spread, as positioned in multiple passes, or some combination of these things, to achieve an effective shotline interval during acquisition or an effective crossline sampling less than their crossline source separation.
