Patents by Inventor Nicolai Vladimirovich Bovin

Nicolai Vladimirovich Bovin has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20140004499
Abstract: The invention relates to methods of localizing biofunctional moieties (F) to surfaces and synthetic constructs of the general structure F-S-S? for use in such methods. F is the biofunctional moiety, S is a spacer covalently linking F to S?, and S? is sterol. In particular, the invention relates to the preparation of biofunctional surfaces and surface modified biological structures including cells (kodecytes), enveloped viruses (kodevirions) and liposomes or virosomes (kodesomes).

  • Publication number: 20120184461
Abstract: Methods of manufacturing cards, strips and multiwell plates for use in diagnostic assays are described. The methods employ the use of synthetic constructs of the generic structure F-S-L (where F is an antigen for a reactive antibody, S is a spacer covalently linking F to L, and L is a lipid) as “ink” in inkjet printers. The cards, strips and multiwell plates provide a number of advantages including efficiency of manufacture and improved accuracy in determining and recording assay results.

  • Publication number: 20120021430
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for effecting qualitative and quantitative changes in the functional moieties expressed at the surface of cells and multi-cellular structures, and functional lipid constructs for use in such methods. In particular, the invention relates to functional lipid constructs and their use in diagnostic and therapeutic applications, including serodiagnosis, where the functional moiety is a carbohydrate, peptide, chemically reactive group, conjugator or fluorophore.
