Abstract: A head-mounted display device includes a modular frame assembly including one or more different components. Each of the different components may be selected from a component set including at least two or more differently-sized versions of each different component. The head-mounted display device also includes a modular see-through display sub-assembly including one or more mountings for selectably coupling the modular see-through display sub-assembly to the modular frame assembly. The modular see-through display sub-assembly may be configured to couple to any combination of differently-sized versions of different components of the modular frame assembly.

Abstract: A portable information handling system includes a top cover, a base, and an electronic latch. The top cover is connected to the base. The top cover has a gesture sensitive surface configured to receive a trace. The electronic latch is in communication with the gesture sensitive surface, and is configured to latch the top cover and the base together. The electronic latch is further configured to unlatch the top cover from the base in response to receiving a signal representing that the trace received on the gesture sensitive surface is proper.

Abstract: Customizing frames for augmented reality devices includes receiving a fit profile of a user and selecting a stock frame from a set of different frame sizes. The selected stock frame may be a size that is a closer match to the fit profile than other frame sizes in the set, and the stock frame may be adjusted to create a modified frame that provides a closer match to the fit profile than the stock frame. A see-through display may be coupled to the modified frame.
