  • Patent number: 9530141
Abstract: Using a bi-directional transceiver, one can receive or provide a service. Location of the parties associated with respective transceivers is tracked and billing is made accordingly based on factors such as time spent returning to a vehicle, being inside or outside the location, and the like. Further, a location where a job is to be performed is checked for its zoning information to ensure that a person performing the job is not only licensed to perform the job, but licensed to work at a specific zoned location where not all who are licensed in the field are licensed to do so.

  • Patent number: 8236083
Abstract: A wall-flow honeycomb filter comprising a ceramic monolith having a plurality of porous walls formed therein. The plurality of porous walls define a plurality of inlet cells and a plurality of outlet cells extending between an inlet end face and an outlet end face of the monolith. The inlet cells are open at the inlet end face and plugged at or near the outlet end face. The outlet cells are open at the outlet end face and plugged at or near the inlet end face. The monolith has a ratio of a combined cross-sectional area of the inlet cells to a combined cross-sectional area of the outlet cells greater than 1. The monolith has at least one inlet cell cluster which contains an N×M group of inlet cells, N and M being integers greater than 1, each inlet cell cluster consisting of a plurality of inlet cells separated by inlet cluster walls.

  • Publication number: 20070097555
Abstract: The invention relates to the production of magnetic field sensor devices whose operation is based on the phenomenon of ballistic magnetoresistance (BMR). The inventive spintronic magnetoresistive device differs from other existing devices in that the nanocontacts are formed by the inclusion of one or more micro and/or nanometric ferromagnetic particles located between two electrodes which serve as contacts with suitable metallic scales and/or electrochemical deposits. The configuration of the particle or particles forming the contact area (as well as the materials used in the electrodes and the particles) can vary. The aforementioned magnetic sensors display high magnetoresistance (MR) values and, more importantly, said devices remain stable for long periods of time.

  • Publication number: 20070023471
Abstract: A protective tool holder comprises a tool pocket including a front piece having a cutout forming a channel to receive a tool handle, such as a trowel, attached to a back piece by at least one fastener which acts as a spacer. The tool pocket bottom and sides are open, the spacer limiting movement of a tool inserted into the pocket. Openings among spacers allow debris to exit the tool pocket. The tool holder is attached to a belt by an attachment member comprising a front and a rear member that when separated, attach the tool holder to the belt by suspension over the belt. An aperture in the rear member is sized to receive a belt therethrough. The members have upper and lower sections, the lower sections being releasably attached to each other by a second fastener, the upper sections attached to each other by the first fastener.

  • Publication number: 20050191829
Abstract: The invention relates to a solid material which is characterized in that the electrons of the conduction band are almost completely polarised in the selected orbital. The invention also relates to the method of obtaining said material. The invention can be used to produce customised conductors, nanocontacts and contacts with a strict selection of resistance properties for the material thus formed. The invention further relates to the use of the inventive solid material in the development, manufacturing and production of devices including conductors, connectors, nanocontacts or contacts for the application thereof in the field of electronics and nanoelectronics.

  • Publication number: 20040245305
Abstract: A waist supported structure for mounting a tool carrier to carry tools at the waist of a wearer is provided that includes an upper portion having an outwardly directed surface adjacent the waist of a wearer. At least one band portion is attached at its opposite ends to the outwardly directed surface, wherein the band is substantially parallel to and facing the outwardly directed surface to define a slot therebetween. A tool carrier extends through the slot and is releasably attached to the at least one band portion.

  • Publication number: 20040215401
Abstract: A process and expert system for presenting an expert analysis of collected forensic DNA evidence in a form more suitable for human analysis is provided. The expert system accepts as input electronic forensic DNA data output of a conventional genetic analysis program, and automates the interpretation of such data according to accepted forensic DNA evidence standards. The resulting output of the expert system is the forensic DNA data and analysis summaries which are presented in a format useable to aid interpretation by both expert and non-expert humans, such as, for example, police officers, attorneys, judges, and juries.
