  • Publication number: 20060108094
Abstract: The heating-air conditioning installation comprises an evaporator, heater body, fan and air outlet ducts, with at least one air stream controlling means beside the evaporator. The air stream controlling means allows an air stream that has bypassed the evaporator to enter directly, or get closed off from, air that has passed through the evaporator.

  • Patent number: 6685554
Abstract: An air guide box, in particular for a heating, air conditioning and/or ventilating installation in a motor vehicle, comprising at least an air treating device (10, 12), at least an air channel (20) extending through the air treating device (10, 12), and at least an air channel (30) bypassing the air treating device (10, 12) and at least two outlet channels (40, 50), emerging in a gap (3) such that each time an outlet channel (40, 50) is substantially opposite one of the other channels (20, 30), a device (1) mobile about an axis (2) being arranged in the gap (3), which device has an air guiding element in the form of a channel (4, 5, 6, 7) and provides, in specific positions, an air passage with practically no pressure drops between two mutually opposite channels (20, 40; 30, 50), and an air passage subjected to pressure drops between other opposite channels (30, 50; 20, 40).

  • Publication number: 20030168201
Abstract: The invention concerns heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning appliances, in particular for a vehicle, having optionally an evaporator (10) and comprising a fan, a heat exchanger for heating and an additional heating device (14), wherein the additional heating device (14) can be supplied at least partly with air which has not passed through the heat exchanger for heating (2).

  • Patent number: 6582295
Abstract: A method of measuring clogging of an air filter in a system for ventilation, air conditioning and/or heating of a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, includes starting up an electric motor (11) driving a fan, measuring a characteristic value of the electric motor for driving the air passing through the filter (3) the clogging of which is being measured; comparing the measured value with a calibration value, to deduce therefrom a measure of the clogging of the filter.

  • Publication number: 20030094261
Abstract: The invention concerns a heating-air conditioning installation for a vehicle, comprising an evaporator (10) and a heating element (12, 14), a fan and various air outlet channels (2, 4, 6), at least means controlling the air stream (20) being placed beside the evaporator (10), according to fluid mechanics. In different positions of the air stream control means, part of the heating-air conditioning installation can be traversed by air in different directions, so that a bypass channel relative to the evaporator may be produced without requiring additional structural volume.

Abstract: The invention concerns an air guide box, in particular for a heating, air conditioning and/or ventilating installation in a motor vehicle, wherein are provided at least an air treating device (10, 12), at least an air channel (20) extending through the air treating device (10, 12), and at least an air channel (30) bypassing the air treating device (10, 12) and at least two outlet channels (40, 50), emerging in a gap (3) such that each time an outlet channel (40, 50) is substantially opposite one of the other channels (20, 30), a device (1) mobile about an axis (2) being arranged in the gap (3), which device has an air guiding element in the form of a channel (4, 5, 6, 7) and provides, in specific positions, an air passage with practically no pressure drops between two mutually opposite channels (20, 40; 30, 50), and an air passage subjected to pressure drops between other opposite channels (30, 50; 20, 40).

  • Patent number: 6482081
Abstract: An upper mixing region (210) and a lower mixing region (214) are fed with hot air via a radiator (203) and with cold air by way of respective bypass ducts (205, 208). Respective mixing flaps (212, 219) make it possible to adjust the temperature separately in the two mixing regions, from where the treated air is sent into different parts of the passenger compartment of the vehicle. According to the invention, the two bypass ducts (205, 208) pass below the radiator (203) which makes it possible to minimise the length of the path for the hot air between the radiator and the de-icing outlet duct (221) situated at the upper part of the casing (200) of the installation, and consequently to accelerate a de-icing or demisting of the windscreen required urgently for reasons of safety.
