  • Publication number: 20240137658
Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause performance of operations comprising operations to access an image captured by an image sensor, obtain a transfer function for mapping pixel values, determine a faces indication that reflects a proportion of a scene depicted in the image that includes one or more human faces, and modify the transfer function based on the faces indication. Modifying the transfer function based on the faces indication comprises adjusting a gain of the transfer function to move the gain closer to unity. The operations include to apply the transfer function to pixel values of the image to produce a tone mapped image and output the tone mapped image.

  • Patent number: 11948317
Abstract: Multi-color flash with image post-processing that uses a camera device with a multi-color flash and implements post-processing to generate images is described. In one aspect, the multi-color flash with image post-processing may be implemented by a controller configured to control a camera and flashes of at least two different colors. The controller may be configured to cause the camera to acquire a first image of a scene while the scene is being illuminated with the first flash but not the second flash, then cause the camera to acquire a second image of the scene while the scene is being illuminated with the second flash but not the first flash, and generate a final image of the scene in post-processing based on a combination of the first image and the second image.

  • Publication number: 20240073225
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for detecting a malicious website. In an embodiment, a computing device detects a uniform resource locator (URL) referencing an unknown website; pre-processes the URL to determine a first probability that the unknown website is malicious; and inputs the first probability into a machine learning model to receive a second probability that the unknown website is malicious. The machine learning model is trained using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates of known legitimate websites and known malicious websites. The computing device further determines whether the second probability is associated with at least a threshold risk. Responsive to the second probability being associated with at least the threshold risk, the computing device causes a graphical user interface of a client device to display a notification indicating a level of risk associated with the unknown website.

  • Publication number: 20230296455
Abstract: A strain sensor is based on a self-biasing reference circuit that reaches an operating state that, at least at first order, is at least supply-voltage independent. The strain sensor provides an output signal that is defined by the operating state of the self-biasing reference circuit. At least one component in the self-biasing reference circuit has an electrical characteristic that depends on a strain to which the at least one component is subjected. This makes that the operating state of the self-biasing reference circuit depends on the strain. As a result, the output signal of the strain sensor varies as a function of the strain to which the at least one component is subjected.

  • Publication number: 20230010491
Abstract: A process for estimating catalyst performance of catalyst used in refinery reforming processes for converting naphtha to gasoline. More in particular, the catalyst to be investigated is subjected to analysis in parallel over time at a temperature to achieve a desired RON on yield of e.g. C5+, for at least two different reaction times. The reactions are terminated after which coke deposition is determined, and relationships of coke deposition and yield, both as a function of reaction temperature for the catalyst used are established, thereby enabling comparison of catalyst performance as determined by a yield-temperature relationship at a given coke deposition degree.

  • Patent number: 11500830
Abstract: A DBMS training subsystem trains a DBMS workload-manager model with training data identifying resources used to execute previous DBMS data-access requests. The subsystem integrates each request's high-level features and compile-time operations into a vector and clusters similar vectors into templates. The requests are divided into workloads each represented by a training histogram that describes the distribution of templates associated with the workload and identifies the total amounts and types of resources consumed when executing the entire workload.

  • Patent number: 11334396
Abstract: Host specific containerized application configuration generation is disclosed. For example, first and second image files are stored on a first memory. Second and third memories are associated with a first host node. A request to generate a first configuration file associated with a plurality of isolated guests is received, launching a first short-lived guest of the plurality of isolated guests on the second memory. A configuration management application executes on the first short-lived guest, generating and saving the first configuration file to the third memory. The first short-lived guest is terminated. A first service guest of the plurality of isolated guests is launched on the second memory. A first service configured with the first configuration file executes on the first service guest. A second service guest of the plurality of isolated guests is launched on the second memory executing a second service configured with the first configuration file.

  • Patent number: 10963179
Abstract: A method to prevent the inadvertent removal of volumes on a storage system is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes receiving a request to remove (e.g., delete, detach, unmask, etc.) a volume on a storage system. In response to receiving the request, the method initiates at least one process to monitor the volume for I/O activity over a specified period of time. In the event the at least one process does not detect I/O activity to the volume during the specified period of time, the method executes the request by removing the volume. In the event the at least one process detects I/O activity to the volume during the specified period of time, the method denies the request to remove the volume. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.
