  • Patent number: 9095669
Abstract: A system includes an insufflator provided with a gas inlet, a valve that regulates the flow to be supplied, an adjustable heater for the gas to be supplied, a sensor that detects the temperature of the heated gas, an outlet for supplying the gas, and a mechanism for propelling the gas toward the supply outlet. A disposable supply duct can be coupled to the gas outlet for the insufflator in order to convey the heated gas into the patient and a return duct for the gas is connected to a distal area of the supply duct and to an inlet of the heater, wherein the gas supply duct and the gas return duct form a continuous recirculation circuit for heated gas.

  • Publication number: 20130123682
Abstract: A device which includes a gas insufflation device (1), a first duct (2) for supplying gas to a member insertable (3) in a cavity of an individual. The first duct (2) includes a by-pass (21) for evacuating excess gas towards the exterior. The insertable member (3) has three passages and includes a first mouth (31) at its rear end for coupling the first duct (2) to a passage (32) having an exit mouth (33), a second mouth (34) for coupling an effluent evacuation duct (5) to a passage (35) having an entrance mouth (36), and a third mouth (37) for connecting inflating means (6) of an expandable ring-shaped element (30) with a passage (38) having an exit mouth (39) to the expandable ring-shaped element (30) disposed before the mouths (33, 36).

  • Publication number: 20120302944
Abstract: A catheter has a member that can be inserted into a person's rectum, the member including a first rear opening that communicates with a first passage for discharging bodily fluids from an aperture at the front end of the insertable member. The insertable member includes an expandable ring element communicating with a second rear opening for connection to an inflation device. The catheter includes a probe disposed at the front end of a connection pipe, which pipe is housed in the first passage and connected at the rear end thereof to a device for supplying a pressurized liquid. The probe includes several holes in the rear portion thereof for projecting the liquid backwards, cleaning the colon and pushing the probe forwards.
