  • Patent number: 9522121
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition comprising in an aqueous phase, particles having a diameter in the range of 20 to 500 nm, said particles containing:—an oil phase;—in said oil phase,—an aqueous droplet, or—a nanocapsule (NC) comprising:—an aqueous core, and—a polymeric shell or a shell composed of an amphiphilic substance; and—a surfactant. This composition is particularly useful for encapsulating hydrophilic and/or lipophilic substances.

  • Patent number: 9005666
Abstract: A process for preparing nanocapsules with a liquid lipid core and a solid lipid shell, charged with at least one active agent. The process contains at least the steps of formulating a microemulsion by phase inversion of an emulsion, totally or partially forming from at least one active agent a second composition different than the microemulsion, placing the microemulsion in contact with the second composition under conditions suitable for interaction of the active agent with the microemulsion, and chill-hardening the microemulsion that has interacted with the active agent, to obtain the nanocapsules.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 11, 2008
Date of Patent: April 14, 2015
    Assignees: L'Universite d'Angers, Inserm Transfert
Inventors: Patrick Saulnier, Jean-Pierre Benoit, Nicolas Anton
  • Publication number: 20140065067
Abstract: Iodinated amphiphilic compound of formula (I): AG1-X—R??(I) wherein AG1 represents an unsaturated (C8-C52) aliphatic hydrocarbon chain found in fatty acids having specific location of double bonds, the chain including at least one iodine atom directly linked to a carbon atom of a non-conjugated double bond by a covalent link, the second carbon atom of the double bond bearing a halogen atom different from a iodine atom, X represents a polyethylene glycol including 1 to 50 ethylene glycol groups, R represents a hydrogen atom or a group AG2 being identical to or different from AG1, AG1, X, R and AG2 being selected so that the amphiphilic compound has a hydrophilic/lipohilic balance included between 4 and 30.

  • Publication number: 20100233275
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for use in the preparation of nanocapsules which have a liquid lipid core and a solid lipid shell and which are loaded with at least one active agent, wherein said method comprises at least the steps consisting in providing a microemulsion formulated by phase inversion of an emulsion, providing a second composition, distinct from said microemulsion and completely or partly formed from at least one active agent, placing said microemulsion in the presence of said second composition under conditions suitable for the interaction of said active agent with said microemulsion and annealing said microemulsion having interacted with said active agent in such a way as to obtain said nanocapsules. The invention also relates to a corresponding kit.
