  • Patent number: 11588984
Abstract: A method for reducing overexposure or underexposure in a time-lapse includes acquiring, using an image capture device, a first frame of the time-lapse using a first exposure setting; and acquiring, using the image capture device, a second frame of the time-lapse. The first frame of the time-lapse is acquired under a first luminance condition. The second frame of the time-lapse is acquired under a second luminance condition that is different from the first luminance condition. The second frame of the time-lapse is acquired using an exposure setting that is determined based on respective exposure settings of one or more preview images obtained between the first frame of the time-lapse and the second frame of the time-lapse. The one or more preview images are not included in the time-lapse.

  • Patent number: 11308597
Abstract: An image capture device may detect presence of an on-housing hand within a periphery of a field of view of an optical element during capture of visual content through the optical element. The image capture device may generate an alarm to indicate the presence of the on-housing hand within the periphery of the field of view of the optical element.

  • Patent number: 11070742
Abstract: A processor of a camera for capturing a time-lapse is configured to acquire a first frame of the time-lapse; calculate an exposure setting for a second frame of the time-lapse; and acquire the second frame of the time-lapse using the exposure setting. The exposure setting prevents a flickering effect in the time-lapse. The exposure setting is determined using one or more preview images that are previewed in a time gap between the first frame and the second frame.

  • Patent number: 10771712
Abstract: Generating a time-lapse is disclosed. A method includes acquiring, using a camera, a first frame of the time-lapse; acquiring, using the camera, one or more preview images, the preview images are not included in the time-lapse; determining an exposure setting for a second frame of the time-lapse using the one or more preview images; and acquiring, using the camera, the second frame of the time-lapse using the exposure setting. A camera includes a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to acquire a first frame of the time-lapse; acquire one or more preview images, the preview images are not included in the time-lapse; determine an exposure setting for a second frame of the time-lapse using the one or more preview images; and acquire the second frame of the time-lapse using the exposure setting.

  • Patent number: 9729886
Abstract: Method and apparatus for the digital encoding of a first raw file, the method includes: a first step of capturing the raw file, the raw file being an audio and/or image and/or video file; a second step of encoding the captured raw file into a second file, in a proprietary format (P); then, a third step for re-encoding the second file into a third file in a compatible format (C).

  • Publication number: 20170195673
Abstract: A Method for reducing the entropy of an original matrix, includes a step using a wavelet transformation of the original matrix into a transformed matrix, a quantisation coefficient corresponding to each wavelet level, the wavelet transformation being calculated in fixed point using a first number of digits at least equal to 1, for example 3 digits, after the point. Such a method is particularly advantageous for image compression.

  • Publication number: 20160073136
Abstract: Method for encoding a series of symbols using several models of the arithmetic or range coder type and including steps where: each model is associated with a belonging criterion, the series is run through in order to determine, for each symbol, the encoding model to which it belongs, according to the criteria; then a probability of occurrence of each symbol in the corresponding model is determined; then the series is run through by encoding each symbol successively; and a file is formed from the code thus obtained.
