  • Patent number: 11401148
Abstract: The aerial work platform includes: a platform provided with a guardrail and a mechanism for lifting this platform; a desk for controlling the movements of the aerial work platform, one or more virtual-barrier systems for determining that an individual on the platform is close to a part of the guardrail adjacent to the desk and/or is leaning towards the desk, by detecting interference between the individual and the virtual barrier, the system inhibiting at least certain movements of the aerial work platform if it detects interference with the barrier. The virtual-barrier system includes at least one emitter and one receiver of waves, the system detecting interference of an external object with the barrier by the fact that the receiver receives waves emitted by the emitter by reflection off the object that is interfering with the barrier.

  • Publication number: 20220063974
Abstract: The aerial lift comprises a lifting mechanism for raising the working platform 3, which lifting mechanism is provided with a guardrail 40. A protection device 70 prevents an operator from being crushed against the guardrail 40 or against the control console 50. The protection device 70 comprises a bar 90. The control console 50 can be removably mounted on the protection device 70 near the bar 90. The protection device 70 comprises a sensor for detecting when the bar 90 is pressed by the operator, which causes the platform to stop moving.

  • Patent number: 10926986
Abstract: The control station 20 of the work platform 10 of an aerial work platform comprises: a control console; a cover 40 for protecting the console, which can be moved between a closed position and an open position; a longitudinal element—such as a bar 42—coupled to the cover to simultaneously move between the closed and open positions, with the longitudinal element protruding from the front side of the console when the cover is open; and means for detecting an external action pushing the longitudinal element toward the console when the cover is open. This makes it possible to keep the operator safe from being crushed against the console when moving the platform. Besides, the longitudinal element is not an obstacle to the opening or closing of the cover and is put aside when the cover is closed, thus preventing same to be exposed to shocks.

  • Publication number: 20200207600
Abstract: The aerial work platform comprises a chassis 2, a work platform 10 and a lifting structure 20 that comprises at least one boom 26 able to be raised and lowered and a pendular arm 30 mounted at the top end of the boom 26 and supporting the platform 10. It also comprises sensors 51, 52 for detecting the proximity of the platform 10 to an obstacle. On-board electronics automatically puts the aerial work platform in a compact position on request by an operator by controlling the lifting structure 20 according to the signals from the sensors 51, 52 in order to take account of the surroundings. In the compact position, the aerial work platform is suitable for transport on a trailer or flatbed lorry. This avoids the transporter having himself to control the various movements of the lifting structure 20 in order to bring the aerial work platform into the compact transportation position.

  • Publication number: 20140246270
Abstract: An aerial lift comprises a chassis equipped with movement means for moving on the surface of the ground, a platform, means for elevating the platform relative to the chassis, and a cell for measuring the weight of the load supported by the platform, said cell having a body supporting at least one sensor and extending along a longitudinal axis. A geometric enclosure surface of the body, around the longitudinal axis, converges toward that axis, and the force measuring cell is embedded, along an embedding axis, in a housing defined by a surface with a shape complementary to the geometric enclosure surface, provided in a support structure of the platform.
