  • Patent number: 11650035
Abstract: A projectile includes a hollow body carrying a payload formed of inert sub-projectiles that can be dispersed on trajectory contained in a cup including a piston closing one of its ends, the body at its rear part with a base housing a pyrotechnic charge separated from the sub-projectiles by the piston, which can translate with respect to the body of the projectile to push the cup and the sub-projectiles axially out of the body. The cup is formed of independent sectors. The piston is secured to the sectors when contained in the body and the cup is secured to the body by a connecting apparatus weakened to break under the force of the piston pushed by the gases generated by the pyrotechnic charge. An ogive is secured to the cup by a securing apparatus that is coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the projectile and locked by the sectors.

  • Patent number: 10041775
Abstract: A safety and arming device for an instant impact point fuse for a gyratory projectile and a fuse equipped with such a device. The device includes a rotor carrying a primer held in a safe, non-aligned position with respect to a striker by a sleeve pressed against a flat spot of the rotor. The device also includes a flyweight that, when subjected to the longitudinal acceleration resulting from the shot, exerts a pushing force on a first end of at least one lever, the second end of the at least one lever being located below a collar of the sleeve. The pushing force of the flyweight causes the lever(s) to pivot about a pivot point, the pivoting of the lever then separates the sleeve from the flat spot of the rotor permanently, releasing the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20150308803
Abstract: The invention relates to a spin-stabilized projectile including a body enclosing a payload formed by a group of sub-projectiles that can be dispersed over a trajectory under the action of a pyrotechnic charge. The projectile is characterised in that the pyrotechnic charge is formed by a detonation relay that is separated from the payload by a piston slidably mounted in the body, said piston comprising a recess covering the detonation relay.
