    Abstract: A method for filling a reservoir on board a motor vehicle by a reserve cartridge. The reservoir includes a filler pipe, including a device for sealed attachment of the cartridge to the pipe. The cartridge includes a latching device configured to allow the fluid to flow from the reserve cartridge into the reservoir filler pipe only when the cartridge is attached in a sealed manner to the device on the pipe. The reserve cartridge is attached in a sealed manner to the pipe attachment device and the reserve cartridge latching device is unlatched so that the fluid can flow from the reserve cartridge into the filler pipe.
