Patent number: 11774465Abstract: To simplify architecture of a measurement device for affixing to a wall of a moving object or stationary object located in a flow, a device includes a support having compartments with an opening that opens to the exterior of the support at the free face in which sensors are housed, the support having a free face and a face to come into contact with the wall, the free face being opposite the face. The device includes a cavity with a printed circuit board, the compartments including an opening that opens to the exterior of the support in the cavity. The cavity is made in the free face opening into it. The circuit board is upside down in the cavity with the printed face towards the interior of the support. The sensors attached to the circuit board are suspended in the compartments. The unprinted face affords an aerodynamic smooth and planar surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2022Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: Airbus Operations (S.A.S.)Inventors: Nicolas Dupe, Nicolas Jean, Cyrille Dajean

Publication number: 20220324586Abstract: A measurement device includes a substrate having accommodations with an emerging opening in which sensors are provided, the substrate including a cavity with a flexible printed circuit. The device is installed on a surface to characterize a fluid flow at this surface. The circuit uses hierarchized buses comprising two data communication buses emerging at the two longitudinal ends of the substrate and an internal data acquisition bus, the bus linking control circuits, each control circuit being connected to one of the communication buses, the sensors being connected to the bus in a distributed fashion on either side of each control circuit. The data from the sensors can be transmitted to the two surrounding circuits and may be acquired if one of them is faulty.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2022Publication date: October 13, 2022Inventors: Nicolas Dupe, Nicolas Jean, Cyrille Dajean

Patent number: 11099096Abstract: A pressure measurement tool secured to a rod arranged across a duct of an engine of an aircraft. A sheath includes two walls which bound a space receiving the rod, the space communicating with the outside by an opening extending over the length of the sheath, the sheath having a bay extending over the length of the sheath and cavities distributed over the sheath. For each cavity, an air inlet including a passage opens at one end into the cavity another end into the duct. A printed circuit board runs along the bay. For each passage, a pressure sensor in the corresponding cavity faces the passage and is on the printed circuit board. A unit is provided for processing and/or recording the data transmitted by the pressure sensors. It is thus easy to install and makes it possible to take a large number of measurements in the secondary duct.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: August 24, 2021Assignee: Airbus Operations (S.A.S.)Inventors: Jean-Pascal Caturla, Nicolas Dupe, Olivier Sornique

Publication number: 20210181038Abstract: A measuring device able to be closely attached to an outer wall of a movable or fixed object located in an air flow. The measuring device comprises a flexible envelope having a cavity provided with an opening orifice. At least one optical fiber is provided in the cavity, the opening orifice of which is closed by the wall on which the envelope is applied. In this way, the fiber is positioned as closely as possible to the wall for which measurements are desired.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2020Publication date: June 17, 2021Inventors: Laetitia MENNEBEUF, Nicolas DUPE

Patent number: 10352739Abstract: A measurement device can be attached to an outer wall of a movable object or of a stationary object arranged in a flow of air in order to measure physical quantities. The measurement device includes a mounting which has recesses having an opening leading to the outside, sensors being provided in said recesses. The device includes a cavity into which the recesses lead and which contains a flexible printed circuit, to which the sensors are connected. The method for manufacturing such a device includes the following steps: attaching sensors to the flexible printed circuit; and attaching the flexible printed circuit provided with sensors to the mounting, the sensors being inserted into the recesses and the circuit being inserted into the cavity.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2014Date of Patent: July 16, 2019Assignee: Airbus Operation S.A.S.Inventors: Nicolas Dupe, Olivier Sornique

Patent number: 10330503Abstract: A measurement device can be attached to an outer wall of a movable object or of a stationary object arranged in a flow of air in order to measure physical quantities. The measurement device includes a mounting which has recesses having an opening leading to the outside in which sensors are provided. All of said openings of said recesses are covered by a single film. The film thus makes it possible to offer a surface which is as smooth as possible, having very low roughness with no unevenness. It also makes it possible to ensure the tightness of the sensors as well as the air insulation between all the sensors of the mounting.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2014Date of Patent: June 25, 2019Assignee: Airbus Operations S.A.S.Inventors: Nicolas Dupe, Olivier Sornique, Gilles Studer
