  • Patent number: 9971734
Abstract: A device and a method for determining a rough component of a latitude or longitude position of a moving craft. The position is reconstructed cyclically by combining the rough component with a corresponding fine component. The device determines the sign of a difference between the fine component for an acquisition cycle and the fine component for a preceding acquisition cycle. The device then computes the rough component corresponding to the given acquisition cycle of the fine component, as a function of the sign of the difference and of the sign and of the value of the speed of the craft. The device and the corresponding method make it possible to extrapolate an unrefreshed rough component as a function of the trend of the fine component and of the sign of the speed of the moving craft to reduce error associated with the computation of the latitude or longitude position.

  • Patent number: 8831245
Abstract: A method for modifying a current sound-volume value assigned by an on-board system to an acoustic alert signal emitted on board an aircraft is provided. The method includes furnishing, on board the aircraft, the on-board system with at least one information item defining a modification of the current sound-volume value to a new sound-volume value in accordance with a predetermined rule.

  • Patent number: 8525701
Abstract: A method and a device for centralized management of warnings in an aircraft including a centralized system for management of warnings and a plurality of warning presentation interfaces. The method includes determining at least one warning in the centralized system according to at least one alarm activation signal received, presenting the at least one warning by a first interface of the plurality of warning presentation interfaces, filtering the at least one determined warning to determine whether to also present the at least one determined warning by a second interface of the plurality of warning presentation interfaces, the second interface being separate from the first interface, and presenting, by the second interface, the at least one determined warning, in response to a determination by the filtering that the at least one determined warning is to also be presented by the second interface.

  • Patent number: 8510278
Abstract: In the method of loading data on board an aircraft), a data set is loaded into on-board equipment of the aircraft, the data set comprising at least: a first version of a database that is identical to a version already in use in the aircraft; and a second version of the database. The database preferably relates to an aircraft warning system.

  • Patent number: 7940195
Abstract: A method for updating a content of a given warning message emitted in an aircraft by a monitoring system in case of detection of a particular state of at least one monitored system of the aircraft, the method including a step of delivery of a plurality of modification information items to a selection tool, each modification information item defining a modification of a content of a warning message capable of being emitted by the monitoring system, the selection tool being capable of selecting at least one information item among the plurality of modification information items in such a way as to permit modification of the content of the given warning message.

  • Publication number: 20110063136
Abstract: The invention in particular has as an object a method and a device for centralized management of warnings in an aircraft comprising a centralized system for management of warnings (405) and a plurality of warning presentation interfaces (220?, 225?), each interface being adapted for presenting at least one warning to a user. After having determined at least one warning in the said centralized system for management of warnings according to at least one alarm activation signal received, the said determined warning is presented by a first interface (220?). The said determined warning is filtered and, in response to this step of filtering, the said determined warning is presented or not by a second interface (225?), separate from the first interface, According to a specific embodiment, the said step of presentation of the said determined warning by the said first interface comprises a step of filtering to determine whether or not the said determined warning should be presented by the said first interface.
