Patent number: 11912645Abstract: The invention is based on the discovery of a new bacterial compound with analgesic properties which could be used as a new tool for the treatment of pain disorders such as visceral pain. Studying the mechanisms implicated in analgesic properties of the probiotic Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917 (EcN), inventors characterized, the amino fatty acids produced by EcN, which display the Ecn analgesic properties. One of these compounds inhibits the hypersensitivity to colorectal distension induced by capsaicin, which is a very powerful nociceptive compound and acts via the GABA B receptor. Furthermore, inventors demonstrate that this compound is able to cross the cellular epithelial barrier (such as the intestinal epithelium). Thus, the invention relates to a lipopetide compound, derived from gamma-aminobutyric acid. The invention also relates to a lipopeptide compound according to the invention for the treatment of treating pain disorder, such as somatic pain and visceral pain.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2018Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignees: INSERM (INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA SANTÉ ET DE LA RECHERCHE MÉDICALE), CENTRE HOSPITALIER UNIVERSITAIRE DE TOULOUSE, CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE—CNRS—, ECOLE NATIONALE VETERINAIRE DE TOULOUSE, UNIVERSITE PAUL SABATIER TOULOUSE III, INSTITUT NATIONAL DE RECHERCHE POUR L'AGRICULTURE, L'ALIMENTATION ET L'ENVIRONNEMENT, UNIVERSITE DE MONTPELLIER, ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE DE CHIMIE DE MONTPELLIERInventors: Nicolas Cenac, Justine Bertrand-Michel, Teresa Perez-Berezo, Thierry Durand, Jean-Marie Galano, Julien Pujo, Eric Oswald, Patricia Martin, Pauline Le Faouder, Alexandre Guy

Patent number: 10296679Abstract: The invention is a method for exploitation of a sedimentary basin containing hydrocarbons using basin simulation. Based on a reconstitution of the formation of the first of the layers of the basin, a conjoint basin simulations of at least one of the layers underlying the first layer. A conjoint geomechanical simulation of the first layer and the at least one underlying layer is then carried out. If the deviation between some of at least some parameters from the geomechanical simulation and those from the basin simulation is above a predefined threshold, the previous steps are repeated applying a correction to the basin simulation. The basin is then exploited as a function of the results of the basin simulation. The invention applied to exploration and exploitation of the basin.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2016Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignee: IFP ENERGIES NOUVELLESInventors: Nicolas Guy, Daniele Colombo, Jeremy Frey, Olivier Vincke, Claude Gout

Patent number: 9754096Abstract: A method for providing an update package to a node in a mesh network comprising a set of nodes and a gateway node arranged to provide access to an update server via a second network. The gateway node collects package information from each set node, including a first node. Each package identifies a respective node and its package version. The gateway node may query the update server based on the package information. The update server may respond to the gateway node with an updated package for the first node. The gateway node broadcasts the updated package into the mesh network as a sequence of mesh messages. Each of a first plurality of nodes of the set may forward the mesh messages to other nodes. The first node stores the mesh messages so as the sequence of mesh messages is received, assemble the updated package.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2014Date of Patent: September 5, 2017Assignee: QUALCOMM TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL, LTD.Inventors: Mauro Scagnol, Srdjan Miocinovic, Hooman Borghei, Dragan Boscovic, Hamid Ahmadi, Nicolas Guy Albert Graube, Robin Heydon, Nicholas John Jones, Clive Thomson

Publication number: 20170177764Abstract: Method for exploitation of a sedimentary basin containing hydrocarbons by means of a basin simulation. On the basis of a reconstitution of the formation of the first of the layers of the basin, for at least one of the layers underlying the first layer, a conjoint basin simulation of the layer concerned and at least one underlying layer is carried out. A conjoint geomechanical simulation of the layer concerned and at least one underlying layer is then carried out.
