  • Patent number: 12109772
Abstract: A method for transferring unwinders (36) using a transfer facility (38) comprising a control unit (39) for controlling the unwinders, and at least one autonomous mobile platform (40) is disclosed. The facility comprises measurement means for measuring the quantity of product wound on reels (22) supported by the unwinders and communication means. The method comprises the following successive operations: measuring the quantity of product wound on the reels and communicating the measured data to the control unit; on the basis of the measured data, determining the moment at which to transmit a removal or supply mission instruction to a mobile platform; transmitting to a mobile platform at the previously-determined moment, a mission instruction to remove or to supply a unwinder; and moving the mobile platform in such a way that it becomes positioned under a unwinder.

  • Patent number: 12064931
Abstract: A method for supplying green tire manufacturing machines (14) with elastomeric products (12) by means of a supply facility (10) comprising a loading member (30) and at least one transfer member (34) comprising an unwinder (36) is disclosed. The supply facility comprises a preparation station (32), said preparation station comprising a manipulator arm (70), and at least one motor (53), the preparation station and the unwinder being distinct from the green tire manufacturing machine. The method comprises the following successive operations: loading the reel onto the unwinder; positioning the end of the product wound on the réel; arranging the end of the product in such a way that it is laid on a dispenser of the unwinder; and transferring the reel from the preparation station to the green tire manufacturing machine.

  • Patent number: 12005624
Abstract: The machine includes an extrusion head having flow ducts, the inlet orifices of which are connected to the outlets of at least two extruders for supplying extruded strips made of elastomeric compounds. The outlet orifices lead into a die which is adjacent to a roller and is designed to cooperate with the latter to shape the profiled element strip. The roller has a central axis surrounded by an external surface intended to receive the profiled element strip and a means for driving the roller in rotation about its central axis. The flow ducts are mutually parallel and are perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the roller, and the profiled element strip is joined to the receiving surface of the roller along an equivalent length of at least 700 mm.

  • Publication number: 20200262236
Abstract: A spoke for a non-pneumatic wheel and the wheel incorporating such spoke. The spoke is provided with one or more features that, may allow e.g., a non-pneumatic tire of the wheel to be removed from a wheel hub so that another hub or tire can be substituted. The spoke has a reinforcement structure that may include one or more features providing support for operation of the non-pneumatic wheel.

  • Patent number: 7878788
Abstract: A technique for extruding a strip of rubber having filaments embedded therein. The rubber is channeled to an extrusion orifice for forming the strip. The outline of the extrusion orifice presents first and second orthogonal planes of symmetry that intersect at a straight line that is substantially parallel to a direction in which the strip is extruded through the extrusion orifice. The channeling of the rubber can be done with an upstream main channel having the first plane as a plane of symmetry, and extended by two downstream secondary channels that are substantially symmetrical to each other about the first plane. The main channel and the two downstream secondary channels also have the second plane as a plane of symmetry.
