  • Patent number: 11033876
Abstract: A structured packing element has the shape of a rectangular flat plate, and is provided with slots and recesses. The slots are intended for assembly by interlocking the structured packing elements together in order to form the structured packing. The recesses are provided in order to form channels within the structured packing. A packing structure can be obtained by assembling such packing elements. Such a packing can be used for an operation of bringing a gas and a catalyst into contact. A manufacturing process of such a structured packing is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10853203
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for controlling restoration of a storage aggregate. For example, a local storage device, located at a first storage site, and a remote storage device, located at a second storage site, may be assigned to a first storage aggregate. Responsive to a disaster of the first storage site, a gate may be created for the local storage device. The gate may block automated reconstruction and/or automated synchronization that may otherwise occur with respect to the local storage device. Until the local storage device is restored, the remote storage device may be used to service I/O requests that were otherwise directed to the local storage device. Responsive to receiving a user restoration command, the gate may be removed from the local storage device. Synchronization between the local storage device and the remote storage device may then be facilitated.

  • Patent number: 10610853
Abstract: A method for treatment of a gas having 10 to 0.5% by volume of at least one of COS and CS2, and 30 ppm to 5% by volume of unsaturated hydrocarbons: a) hydrogenation of organic compounds unsaturated with respect to paraffins by contacting the gas with a hydrogenation catalyst in the presence of hydrogen at 100 to 400° C., to provide an effluent that is low in unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds, the hydrogenation catalyst having at least one metal that is palladium, platinum, nickel, or cobalt deposited on a porous substrate. b) catalytic hydrolysis-hydrogenation in the presence of water of COS and/or CS2 present in the effluent of a) to provide an H2S-rich effluent by bringing the effluent from a) into contact with a hydrolysis-hydrogenation catalyst.
