Abstract: A control device is designed to equip a content receiver having a first file system. This device is arranged, consecutively to a first coupling of a storage device, having a second file system incompatible with the first file system, on the content receiver, on the one hand, to instruct the content receiver to transmit to the storage device a set of control data comprising a third system of the virtual file type compatible with the first file system, so that it stores this set in at least one file of its second file system, and, on the other hand, to control the transmission of data content received by the content receiver, from the latter to the storage device, under the control of the first file system, such that the content data is stored in the storage device under the control of the third file system.

Abstract: The inventions relates to a method for controlling an interface providing the connection between a device suitable for the recording and reading of data such as a receiver/decoder of audio-visual programs and an external memory. The method comprises the steps for detecting the type of external memory connected to the external memory interface and for authorising write access to the external memory according to the type of memory detected, the available storage capacity and the total capacity of the external memory.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for navigating in a list of items in an audiovisual receiver including a first step for generating an ordered list of items available in the receiver, a step for displaying a first sub-list extracted from the list including a first item highlighted at one end of the displayed sub-list. The method also includes a step for identifying a second item adjacent to the first item not appearing in the first sub-list, and a step for displaying a second sub-list including at least the first item and the second highlighted item. In one improvement to the present invention, the displayed items are digital television service identifiers. In one variant, these items are identifiers of events broadcast by a television network. The invention also relates to the receiver capable of selecting the services according to the method.
