  • Publication number: 20120281735
Abstract: A satellite-based positioning system reception device comprises a function for detecting false lock-ons based on a linear combination of complex signals arising from correlation pathways between a signal received from a satellite and a prompt local code and a plurality of local codes shifted by determined delays with respect to the prompt local code. An advantage is that the function for detecting false lock-ons makes it possible to remedy the false lock-ons due to multi-path phenomena.

  • Patent number: 8301678
Abstract: The field of the invention is that of the reception of a radionavigation signal originating from a satellite positioning system such as the GPS system. The present invention concerns a method for calculating correlations between a first sequence and a second sequence, said first sequence and said second sequence having a duration DCode, the first sequence being extracted from a digital signal comprising a code, said code comprising elementary time divisions, called chips, of mean duration Dchip, said chips being synchronized with pulses delivered by an NCO oscillator at the mean frequency 2/Dchip, the second sequence resulting from a sampling at a frequency Fe of an analog signal, the frequency Fe being greater than 2/Dchip. According to the invention, the method comprises a step of aggregating samples of the second sequence, over consecutive integration intervals of duration equal on average to Dchip/2, starting at each pulse of the NCO oscillator, so as to determine results of elementary aggregates.

  • Patent number: 7760138
Abstract: A satellite positioning receiver is disclosed having at least one receive channel. Each receive channel is intended to perform a combined processing of a first S1 and a second S2 radiofrequency signals separated in frequency. The signals are received by analogue paths of the receive channel then digitized to be processed in digital receive paths. Each receive channel has a first (160) and a second (162) correlation circuits, respectively receiving the first and the second received digitized signals. Carrier and code phase discriminators are common to both correlation circuits. A local code generator is provided for each code correlation path. The local codes are offset by a positive differential delay correction +??cal for one of the correlation circuits and a negative differential delay correction ???cal for the other. These corrections tend to compensate for the relative delay difference between the two signals in the analogue paths of the receive channel.

  • Patent number: 7689357
Abstract: The invention relates to a closed loop hybridizing device comprising a Kalman filter bank, a virtual platform, a device to calculate pseudo-measurements estimated a priori. The Kalman filter bank comprises a principal Kalman filter adapted to the calculation of corrections to be applied to inertial measurements starting from all available pseudo-measurements, and n secondary Kalman filters adapted to the calculation of corrections to be applied to inertial measurements from a sub-set of available pseudo-measurements. The corrections originate from either the principal Kalman filter when no pseudo-measurement is erroneous or the secondary Kalman filter not affected by an erroneous pseudo-measurement. The corrections are applied simultaneously to inertial measurements and to the input to all other Kalman filters in the Kalman filter bank. In particular, the invention applies to a hybridizing device using information provided by an inertial unit and a satellite navigation system, for example a GPS system.
