  • Publication number: 20160108346
Abstract: The present invention relates to water-dispersable microcapsules comprising an oil phase, e.g. a perfume, containing a photolabile ?-ketoacid or ?-ketoester capable of generating a gas upon exposure to light. The gas is able to cause an extension or the breaking of the microcapsule allowing the release of the oil phase and thus increasing the long-lastingness of the odor perception. The present invention concerns also the use of said microcapsules in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's microcapsules to provide a prolonged release of fragrant molecules.

  • Patent number: 9315763
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns co-polymeric latex particles derived from 2-oxo-2-(3- or 4-vinylphenyl)acetates capable of liberating an active molecule such as, for example, an aldehyde or ketone upon exposure to light. The present invention concerns also the use of said latex in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's latex.

Date of Patent: April 19, 2016
    Assignee: Firmenich SA
Inventors: Andreas Herrmann, Damien Berthier, Nicolas Paret, Myléne Therrien
  • Publication number: 20140342963
Abstract: The present invention relates to water-dispersible core-shell microcapsules essentially free of formaldehyde. In particular it concerns oligomeric compositions comprising, and the microcapsules obtained from, particular reaction product between a polyamine component and a particular mixture of glyoxal and a C4-6 2,2-dialkoxy-ethanal. The present invention comprises also the invention's core-shell microcapsules as part of a perfuming composition or of a perfuming consumer product.

  • Publication number: 20140322283
Abstract: The present invention relates to water-dispersible core-shell microcapsules essentially free of formaldehyde. In particular it concerns core-shell microcapsules having a shell obtained by reacting polyisocyanates or polyoxirans cross-linkers and oligomeric compositions which are the reaction products between a polyamine component and a particular mixture of glyoxal and a C4-6 2,2-dialkoxy-ethanal. The present invention comprises also the invention's core-shell microcapsules as part of a perfuming composition or of a perfuming consumer product.

  • Publication number: 20140323376
Abstract: The present invention relates to core-shell microcapsules comprising photolabile 2-oxoacetate pro-fragrance molecules capable of liberating an active molecule such as, for example, an aldehyde or ketone upon exposure to light. The present invention concerns also the use of said microcapsules in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's microcapsules to provide a prolonged release of fragrant aldehydes and/or ketones.
