  • Publication number: 20150135937
Abstract: The invention pertains to a composite wherein the composite comprises at least one fabric and a thermoplastic polymeric resin wherein the resin is impregnated into the fabric to an extent that between 80 to 95% of the maximum volumic mass (void volume) of the fabric is filled with resin. The fabric and thermoplastic resin are combined with one or two release layers to form an assembly. A plurality of these assemblies is combined to form a stack which is subjected to thermopressing wherein the thermopressing is carried out in at least two cycles with a pressure release between each cycle.
