  • Patent number: 11967480
Abstract: An image intensifier device includes: an intensifier tube with at least one photocathode, a micro-channel plate and a conversion element, arranged in that order one after another, and an electric power supply module configured to supply at least one respective polarisation voltage to each of the elements of the intensifier tube. The electric power supply module extends in a region located upstream of the photocathode, on the side of the photocathode opposite to the micro-channel plate. Thus, a space is cleared located downstream of the intensifier tube in the direction of travel of the photons and of the electrons in the image intensifier device. This allows reducing the size of the image intensifier device for example by bringing an eyepiece closer.

  • Publication number: 20240122395
Abstract: A handheld filter press includes a pump, a water chamber, and a portafilter basket. The pump includes a pump housing that defines a pump chamber configured to pressurize air, and defines a pump outlet for exhausting pressurized air. The pump includes an outlet valve fluidly connected with the pump outlet. The outlet valve allows air to exit the pump chamber and prevents air from entering the pump chamber through the pump outlet. The water chamber is fluidly connected with the pump chamber through the outlet valve for receiving pressurized air from the pump chamber. The water chamber defines a water chamber outlet for exhausting pressurized air and water from the water chamber. The portafilter basket is fluidly connected with the water chamber for receiving pressurized water from the water chamber through the water chamber outlet. The portafilter basket is configured to store grounds, and to express a brewed beverage.

  • Publication number: 20240002736
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to novel random terpolymers of alkyl-acrylate, carboxyalkyl-acrylate, and alkoxyalkyl-acrylate, and to processes for their preparation, and processes for their use as dehydrating-desalting agents of crude oil, particularly, their use as destabilizers of water-in-crude oil (W/O) emulsions, including their use to remove water and salts dissolved in crude oils with gravities between around 10 and around 40° API.

  • Publication number: 20220389439
Abstract: The present invention relates to a transgenic plant, preferably of the Brassica spp. genus, comprising in its genome a fungal sequence, preferably belonging to the fungus Trichoderma harzianum, capable of establishing symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi. Additionally, the transgenic plants of the invention have an increased biomass and higher resistance to abiotic stress. The present invention also provides methods for increasing the resistance to abiotic stress of plants of the Brassica spp. genus, as well as methods for obtaining said transgenic plants with the capacity to establish mycorrhization processes and resistance to abiotic stress and methods for producing foods, feeds or industrial products using the transgenic plant.

  • Publication number: 20160012371
Abstract: A method may include selecting various activities for determining an assessment. The method may further include obtaining activity data regarding the selected activities. The activity data may describe the performance of a portion of the selected activities. The method may further include identifying, using the activity data, various completed activities from the selected activities. The method may further include computing, using various scoring parameters, various activity scores from the completed activities. The scoring parameters may determine the activity scores based on a contribution of the completed activities towards the assessment. The method may further include computing an assessment score based on the activity scores. The method may further include generating, using the assessment score, an assessment report. The method may further include transmitting the assessment report.

  • Patent number: 4982752
Abstract: A dental floss holder includes a pair of elongated arm members (11), including cross member (14) located between said arm members (11). The arm members (11) are attached at first ends (12) and have floss holding slits (23) at second ends (13). The second ends may be squeezed toward one another to fasten the floss (15). The resiliency of the arm members (11) tautens the floss (15) upon the second ends (13) being released. As the floss (15) stretches during use, the arm members (11) may be squeezed toward one another causing the second ends (13) to pivot about the cross member (14), thereby restoring the floss (15) to its taut state.
