  • Patent number: 8603681
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel porous film material which comprises at least one carbonaceous semimetal oxide phase, and to a process for production thereof. The invention also relates to the use of these porous film materials as a separator layer or for production of such separator layers in electrochemical cells, particularly in lithium cells and especially in lithium secondary cells.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 28, 2010
Date of Patent: December 10, 2013
    Assignee: BASF SE
Inventors: Nicole Hildebrandt, Arno Lange, Klaus Leitner, Phillip Hanefeld, Claudia Staudt
  • Publication number: 20110230621
Abstract: A transparent, semi-interpenetrating network comprises a first phase of a linear noncrosslinked isobutene polymer and a second phase of a crosslinked polymer. The crosslinked polymer is obtained through copolymerization of a first ethylenically unsaturated monomer and of a second ethylenically unsaturated monomer, wherein the first ethylenically unsaturated monomer is a cycloalkyl(meth)acrylate and the second ethylenically unsaturated monomer is selected from linear and branched C1-C20 alkyl(meth)acrylates. By varying the ratio of the first ethylenically unsaturated monomer relative to the second ethylenically unsaturated monomer, the properties, such as vibration damping properties, of the semi-interpenetrating network can be controlled.

  • Publication number: 20100170636
Abstract: A description is given of a semi-interpenetrating network having a first phase of a linear noncrosslinked isobutene polymer and a second phase of a crosslinked polymer, wherein the crosslinked polymer is obtained by crosslinking molecular enlargement reaction in the presence of the isobutene polymer. The crosslinked polymer is preferably obtained by free-radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising at least one polyethylenically unsaturated monomer. The networks are suitable as molding compounds having gas and moisture barrier effect or as adhesives.
