Abstract: Described herein are new derivatives of cannabichromene that are effective in treating or preventing pain in a subject. The new cannabichromene derivatives have improved bioavailability, which enhances their ability to treat or prevent pain. In one aspect, the cannabichromene derivatives have the structure I or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also described herein are methods for making and using the cannabichromene derivatives.
